This hotel has small huts literally on the beach, the rooms are basic but modern and good. The restaurant at this resort is open air and is again pretty much on the beach and the food is very good. You can hire kayaks and mopeds from the resort at a good price.

I stayed there in April for 4 nights. This was my second time at Baan Koh Mak, December was my first. Rooms were very simple, clean and beds were comfortable. Nice hot shower but no fridge. Food at the restaurant really lovely and very reasonable. Barbecue in the evening on the beach is very nice too and their seafood sauce...

We where booked in in another resort , but we're not happy. Found this little resort, and the welcome we received from Mrs B was great , she was very helpful she showed us some rooms and had a great sense of humor. Ok for couple of days. No fridgerators in the rooms (-) and the beach is better on the other side of the island. Shops are near (+) and the staff friendly (+). Hotellbars are expensive (-). They will pick you up to the hotell if you just let them know where and when to pick up(++).

All the staff here make a great effort to please, especially Ping who deals with reservations and any issues with customers. She is a great asset. Very happy, welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are of a querky, very modern design and sparingly furnished but bright, clean and comfortable. At 1690 baht, very reasonable for an island.

If you visit the website of this hotel you'll feel like you're about to embraced by a cool welcoming establishment that is on top of everything and will make your stay extra special. Sadly, this was not the case. From arrival we were disappointed. Admittedly I am not that great at hiding my disappointment and may have been a little...

From the minute we arrived I just felt like it was wrong. We were barely greeted by the German owner(?) who acted like we were putting him out by arriving. He explained 'we don't serve Thai food here- as everyone does around us' - uh, duh! It's Thailand. Then he pointed vaguely to our room with a key - some...

I had high expectations to the hotel because of all the feedback in here. The staff was really friendly, and the resturant had a really good breakfast. The rooms was pretty empty. I really missed a saftey box and a place to put my luggage. It looked clean, and was very brigth and nice. The worst part about the rooms...

Our stay at Baan Koh Mak was simply the highlight of our trip. This tiny little island is paradise and we reminisce weekly longing to go back. Again we'd stay here in a heart beat. The staff were fantastic. We were only meant to stay two nights and ended up staying five!! We missed dinner one night (the restaurant attached...

After a rough time on Koh chang, we were so pleased to arrive. Staff picked us up from the dock, the manager provided us with cold tea upon our arrival, and our bags were taken to our room. Hot shower, clean bathroom, fridge, beautiful bungaloo with seats on the patio, laundry service, etc. Prices were ok- water was a rip...
