We stayed at the Tientsin bungalow and were really well looked after by the staff. Nothing was too much effort - other than trying to eat all the delicious food that the chef provided. There are lots of walking trails around the bungalow, going through the tea plantations. The meals were taken outside on the terrace with amazing views of...

Four nights in Castlereagh bungalow was perfect. Our room (Tate) overlooked the lake which we felt was preferable to a larger room with a garden view. Staff were unfailingly excellent - thanks to Jagath and co. Food quality was outstanding - your wish is (pretty much) their command. If you're active we highly recommend kayaking on the lake ($25 per...

ok so ceylon tea trails is geography to die for.......the views of the hills, trees and tee trees as far as the eye can see provide a very relaxing potion. Then they allow you to share a bungalow with 5 or so other couples and the bungalow is a reminder of how the "managers" of that tea estate used to...

Make no mistake, this is a true luxury hotel experience quite unlike anywhere else in the world. Everything about Ceylon Tea Trails was hotel perfection - the service, the charm, the rooms, the general ambience and, of course, the surrounding landscape. Even our fellow guests - this is a fairly social place. We stayed in Summerville Bungalow - we chose...

The area around Hatton is beautiful and ever green. It's a lot of things to do, but of course to visit the Tea Castle is a must. You can taste different type tea, get an introduction of how to prepare your tea in the best way. And of course you can buy your tea directly at the Tea Castle.

Absolutely superb. 5no rooms, very intimate. All the staff were faultless and couldn't do enough for you. Fully inclusive meant fully inclusive. Proper named brand drinks (grey goose/jack Daniels etc) Breakfast/lunch/afternoon tea./dinner. Chef tells you his recommendations but will cook you something different if you want. Enjoyed being like a local and having curry for breakfast each day (optional not...

Wow! Incredible! What an amazing place. Beautiful hills. The lake. Each house is amazing with wonderful service. Fantastic food. You want for nothing. They even do your laundry. Very romantic. Lots of areas to walk/hike to see the tea region and locals at work. Just breath taking!

We stayed for three nights mid way through a tour of Sri Lanka. The location high up on a sharp slope covered with tea bushes looking down on a lake was superb. The bungalow itself has been recently refurbished and captured perfectly the era of the tea planatation managers of yester year perfectly but with every possible modern convenience of...

I am fortunate enough to have stayed in a lot of luxury hotels and experienced some very excellent levels of service. But Tea Trails truly stands out amongst pretty much all of them for the level of care and detail that they apply to service. Every little detail - from canapés with pre-dinner drinks before dinner to tea in bed...
