We were there few days and it was so good. The room is big and cleaned well. The manager rabbi is amazing. Always welcoming. The location is great, near to a restaurant and p&s bakery. Close to the market and to the main road
We arrived at King Lobster exhausted, after a disappointing stay nearby. We were greeted by lovely couple Ravi and Taxila, who did everything you could ask for and more. The hospitality was next level, and usually before you had to ask for something, they already had it covered. Rooms were nice and clean, AC, good WiFi and hot water, and it was wonderful that so near to everything, it could be so peaceful. Special recommendation for upstairs rooms overlooking the garden. And Ravi gives good surfing lessons ;)
Very very generous hosts, rich breakfasts, you can order home made Srí lankan fresh lunch or dinner, very pleasant stay, clean rooms with AC, nice bathroom, seating on patio. Our best stay on Srí Lanka so far. Close to the beach, 5 minutes walk to weligama beach, but 2 minutes walk to the beach - famous fisher point. Also close to grocery and other shops and calm, silent place though, fair prices. Strongly recommended
The rooms at King Lobster are nice and clean, with good bedding and a decent bathroom. We were unlucky in the sense that it POURED with rain for most of our stay, which meant the road became very muddy and the Wifi was a bit hit and miss. However the family that run this place are extremely friendly and welcoming and do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. We were shown the lobster farm next door and were offered a good breakfast during our short stay. When it stopped raining the beach, which is less than five minutes away, is lovely. In terms of price for what you get, I would recommend King Lobster.
We stayed here in early October and went back again on our way home . This lovely little guest house is really worth a visit .. The location is ideal..very close to the beach but away from the traffic . Chanu and his lovely parents Namedasa and Asoka were extremely hospitable .. Asoka's cooking is nothing short of magnificent... I've lived in Sri Lanka before and love the local curries... We tried heaps of local dishes ...the meal prices are amazingly cheap and some of the tastiest I've ever had in Sri Lanka I would highly recommend King Lobster to anyone looking for a reasonably priced hotel/guest house. Very clean ,tasteful and welcoming
King Lobster is a small hotel just off the beach road in Weligama. Newly built, so the whole place is clean and nice. The rooms are large and beds are really comfortable. The mosquito nets are also appreciated! The beach is very close, just a minute or so up to the main road, and then cross over to the beach. The owners of King Lobster are lovely and helpful. The best part was the food! They will cook for you if you request it, and the food is incredible!
The perfect place to relax. The hotel just opened and every is shiny, nice and clean. Our room was spacious, the bedding was good and the mosquito net perfect. The location is very handy, half way to the beach and the centre of town, 10min walk from the train station. The good thing is, it's not directly on the road so you can't hear the traffic from the road. The nicest thing was the owner, a nice and very helpful family, always willing to help to make your stay as great as possible. The family also got a surf school, so it's perfect to get the best price. One last thing, try the home made fish curry.... It's mean!! Thanks you for everything.
Great hotel. Freshly opened a few weeks ago. You don't feel like in a hotel, but rather as if you stay with a family. The hosts were very friendly and nice. They were helping us a lot with organising different kinds of tours and got us local food for the local price. Most of the time we ate in the hotel because the food was excellent (cooked by the mother) and cheap. Best combination. They cooked so many different dishes and everything was just yummy. Also the dining area was nice. The rooms were charming and very clean. We showed up without reservation, and as they have just opened, they didn't have enough towels which they organised straight away. The showers have - as normal in Sri Lanka - only low water pressure. They have two shower heads: one for cold and the second one for hot water. The hotel is located closely to the beach. It is a three-minute walk and your feed are on the sand. I would recommend to take a left once you hit the beach ground and walk about 8 min until you reach the surf schools. This is the nicest spot and also provides shade.…
