We stayed here two nights and found it a good refuge after spending the days touring the Plain of Jars sites, the Mulberry Silk Farm and the UXO Center. (Our Laotian friend/guide hooked up with a driver at the airport on our arrival and we used him for the trip to this hotel and for touring the next two days....

Old motel style building, with barely basic amenities. Hard to sleep well in the cold air and hard mattress and worthless pillows in this flea bag hotel (well, we did not actually see any fleas but we did step on roaches on our nighttime bathroom visits). Dinner and breakfast fare was equally awful. Hotel staff had poor English skills.

Clean, quite accommodating room with a balcony and view. Restaurant was open late and breakfast was good. People were nice. Close to the Plain of Jar. Had very good security. we arrived late so really couldn't see the grounds but looked like a nice place.

The physical property is very classy, located on a hilltop, lots of wood in the rooms and well appointed dining room with open air balcony. Most of the rooms have a private balcony too. Our dinner was good but the included breakfast was not comparable to other similarly priced hotels in Vientiane and Luang Prabang although, friends assured me, it...

Stayed here two nights. Hardest mattress ever on the bed that amplified every movement so we lay as quiet as mice not to disturb each other. There was a kettle and two cups in the room but no tea, coffee, sugar or milk powder. Room was comfortably large, bathroom pleasant but bathtub with shower above creaked when stepped into. Breakfast...

The hotel was very nice, comfortable, good service...BUT some, not all, of our US currency was removed from our LOCKED room safe. We had counted our money before locking it in the room safe, using our own combination. Just before checking out, when we removed our envelopes and wallet from the safe, $100 was missing from one and $100 from...

If you come here expecting anything fancy and five star you are going to be disappointed, However , being realistic, this is one of the poorest regions in south east Asia so I want to be fair. The rooms are large with a separate sitting room, big bedroom and en-suite bathroom. There does not seem to be any heating in...

If all you need is a place to sleep, this will do. Clean and friendly, but very basic. January is a chilly month in this part of Laos, so you'll need the extra comforter from the closet, as there is little (none?) heat in the room. Breakfast was mediocre, but adequate. The "driveway" leading up the hill is a very...

This could be a good hotel: great setting, nice rooms (if you get one with balcony and view) but everything else is poor. The public area are soulless and despite two big fireplaces, freezing weather and no other means of heating these were not lit. So we froze. Breakfast on both days was terrible, the first day was meanest buffet...

Despite having TWO beautiful fireplaces this place was so cold it was ridiculous. I understand we visited in winter but I have NEVER been in a hotel where the staff were wearing winter coats indoors. This is NOT a ski resort, just a hotel on a plateau with great view. The rooms were good but basic and we had lukewarm...
