The Elephant Crossing Hotel is a welcoming, warm and friendly accommodation venue situated on the river with fabulous views of the Karst limestone mountains! A boutique hotel, well established gardens and long terrace that stretches along the river. We aim to please all our guests and may they have a memorable experience while staying here with us. The bar and restaurant utilizes local farmers produce and serves Lao, Asian and Euro food. We are doing our best to reduce miles and serve clean chemical free food, with our own organic grown rice and winter vegetables from our own gardens. Our team of local staff are always willing to help with a friendly approach and authentic touch!

This hotel has great value for the location, view, and breakfast buffet. Plus, the front desk staff were super helpful with recommending hikes, bike rentals, and busses. The view from breakfast alone is worth it, plus they have a make-your-own omelet bar! Highly recommended.

I’m only rating this a 3 because I can’t give it a 2.7.

The difference between this hotel and a rundown youth hostel is the ensuite. In our room, the paint was peeling, there was a kid’s sticker on the bathroom door, the vent on the bathroom door was broken, there was exposed w

The view from the room is great, really. But the hotel themselves does not seem to be managed with love. There is no heart and spirit inside. The room is ok but the bed was dirty and the toilet smelled very strong. The staff members especially at the breakfast seem to be very unm

Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. We will look into the problems mentioned and work to improve the customer experience. Where take pride in the breakfast served at Elephant Crossing and we would like everyone to have as enjoyable of a meal as possible. We are sorry about the boats that come up the river each morning. Fortunately, they usually leave in groups and aren't bothersome for very long. Hope you enjoyed the rest of your time in Vang Vieng and we wish you the best in your further travels.

We stayed here for a couple of weeks and had a brilliant time. The rooms are comfy, clean, and the view off our balcony was incredible. It is situated right on the river and provides the most amazing view of the mountains across the water. Food is lovely, the waterside bar a love

Thanks for taking the time to leave us such a positive review Sandra. We're happy to hear that you enjoyed your room and all the amenities in it. It's quite humid in Laos, even at this time of year, so the dripping on your balconey may have been due to some sort of condensation. Thanks for letting us know though, as we are always trying to improve and make a better guest experience. We hope you'll consider staying with us again next time you travel through Vang Vieng.

There is a private dirt lot as well as what seemed to be fairly secure area where one could put their bike.
