The place appears well located and nicely built, but the owner or perhaps he was just a staff member was rather supercilious and burst out laughing and turned away when I asked him how much their cheapest room was... I guess I didn't look like a rich Chinese tourist. Anyway I wouldn't have stayed there at 400k a night, but...

First, the positives: very good views from some of the bedrooms and a terrace overlooking the river which is wonderful for sunset drinks and breakfast. Staff are efficient and helpful and the hotel is not far from the town centre. But... the rooms are small and well overdue for a makeover. Some rooms have no view. The swimming pool at...

Really nice hotel with absolutely great views and a good atmosphere for families. We cannot stop watching the atonishing karstic mountains from our room balcony during the whole week we spent there. It also has a good restaurant where the food tries to be organic as much as possible and it is provided by local farms. The staff is really...

We read on Tripadvisor about the construction problem of the building just around the hotel; unfortunately the noise still started at 07.00 in the morning. It`s really pity that they just build a new huge high building by the hotel; without this new construction it would be almost perfect. We had first a small room just in the second floor,...

An old style hotel with basic rooms. It has a wet room rather than a shower. Wi-Fi is acceptable. The restaurant is located right on the river with beautiful views overlooking both the river and the mountains, with beautiful silhouettes of the mountains at dusk. The problem with the restaurant is that it is nowhere near big enough to serve...

Stayed for 2 nights in March, not impressed. Food poor apart from egg and pancake station at breakfast. No hot water in basin, sign stating that tap should be run for around 5 minutes to get hot water, gave up after 15. No sink plug, no soap and towels had seen better days. However shower was fine. In general place...

I did not stay in this hotel but I ate here. A wonderful quiet location right on the river with superb views of the castes. Cheap fresh food but I suspect rather too much MSG inserted. Worth it if you want the location and peace.

Just stayed 2 nights in this hotel, and there are pro's and con's to both the hotel and the location, Vang Vieng. Situated directly at the river it should be a wonderful place to be overseing the river and the mountain with the possility to enjoy a fairly nice sunset, but... the noise is overwhelming - hard and loud music...

Once upon a time this was probably a reasonable hotel. Now, after what looks like many years of neglect and no investment, its all rather sad. Mould all over the ancient bathroom walls, lumpy bed, indifferent air conditioning and awful sound insulation means that a good night's sleep is unlikely. Views over the mountsins are excellent but the balcony restaurant by...

Many reviews have pointed out the outdated areas, but there are many lovely aspects of this hotel. The breakfast/bar area overlooking the river with a fire in the evening - the place to be! There's the cute elephant statues at the entrance, with frogs croaking at the pond nearby with the giant goldfish at night. We loved the view from...
