It's a couple of minutes away from the bars and everything, so it's very quiet and relaxed. The bungalows are nice and the owner very helpful and funny. We had a pleasant stay and I would definitely stay again!

I stayed here for 4 nights and in 3 different rooms (I kept extending at short notice and the rooms were almost always fully booked which shows this place is popular). The bungalow type rooms were very cute. Nice garden surrounds. No issues with mozzies. Okay shower in 1, good in 2. Comfortable beds in all 3 rooms. 5 min...

Close to town, but far enough to avoid drunk and loud tourists. You might hear some sound of the bar, but it's really ok. Has a small terrasse at the Bungalow and the manager ist really nice and funny. Free coffee and bananas!!!

We stayed at Phoomchai for a week and loved it. The huts are really cosy and have a great deck out front that you can relax on. The guy running the place is super friendly and helped us out with bus tickets, a well-priced tuk tuk to the Blue Lagoon and other info about stuff to do in Vang Vieng....

We stayed 3 nights here and chanced walking up as it was low season. Thankfully this worked as we got 20k KIP knocked off the online price for an A/C bungalow. I'd been in this town many years ago before and a tubing hangover is best undertaken with the benefit of air conditioning. Such is the heat at this time...

Most of the rooms were bamboo style huts on stilts. We had a little porch at the front where we could chill which was nice. The owner was a very cheerful chap. He was always very happy to help with anything, even willing to take you into town to pick up a baguette. There was a little noise however from...
