Only had one night but we had a massive room with large bathroom. Very powerful shower. All very clean. Good toiletries provided. Beautiful view of the river especially in the morning light. Obviously caters a lot for groups but as independent travellers we were still well looked after. Great baguettes at breakfast but coffee not as good as elsewhere in... More

Nice hotel by the river. The rooms are clean with good linen. Beds are normal for the country, firm but fine. The staff are friendly and helpful. the bar by the pool makes great drinks and a lovely spot to relax after a hectic day. Good location. Walking distance to everything. Awesome views of the limestone karats and sunsets.

Ok room, shower huge but old fashioned, good views over the river, bed comfortable but only two pillows, air conditioning effective but noisy. It feels from the outside that it ought it be a fancy new hotel but on the inside it was a bit tired. Breakfast was disappointing, maybe because all the other guests were Korean so the choice... The rooms were big and the pool was nice. The service we experienced was also ok, but as people have said it feels the whole place does feel a little tired (a bit like Vang Vieng itself!). Didn't see inside any other places in Vang Vieng, so hard to draw any comparisons. But if your expectations aren't too high, you... More

In this backpacker town we were not spoilt for choice of hotel, as there are few top end options. The Vansana was among the best we saw but is still only just adequate. Our 'executive suite' was large, but in need of renovation, with curtains which were shredded in places. The bathroom was reasonably clean, but there appeared to be... More

I booked directly with the hotel and they even confirmed the booking a couple of days prior, however when I arrived they had the incorrect number of days and people stay, even though they had confirmed the correct information. The room was dirty with used shampoo bottles etc still in the bathroom, and the room looked nothing like the deluxe... More

We enjoyed our stay in town, but this town caters to back packers and college age kids who love to party, ie drugs and booze. So, if that bothers you, stay clear of this town. The Hotel is located along the river in a very central location in town, with wonderful views of the river and cliffs behind. The room... More

This town is infested with thrillseeking 20-somethings interested in tubing down the (dirty) river. So, daytime in town is relatively tranquil and peaceful. At night, all the youngsters party about 200m to the left of the hotel. Room 215 has probably the best views. It's a corner room overlooking the pool with gorgeous sunsets over the river. Only thing I... More
