Highly recommended. Without any doubt, one of my favourite resorts we stayed in Mauritius. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable from the moment we arrived. We were welcomed with great hospitality by the staff and the hotel manager, Mr Ravi. The resort is close to everything yet far away from the noise. Rooms are unique, spacious and comfortable and come with great amenities. The food was amazing. Another thing that makes this place stand out is the staff, which are incredibly helpful, generous and friendly. Everyone took such good care of us, especially our butler who was always there to help. The entire staff was adept at anticipating our needs, even before we knew what we needed. Special mention to Mrs Deeya, Ashna, Warren, Vijay and Cindy. All respect goes to the hotel manager, Mr Ravi who does a fantastic job there.…
This resort is blessed with a beautiful location and natural set up. But it is definitely not a 5-star hotel. The suite, while very intimate with access to nice garden and sea view, is lacking in elegance. The bed is HORRIBLE, an utter eyesore. The mattress very soft and uncomfortable. The airconditioning vent is poorly placed over the bed at the level of the head. Other than that, nice bathtub and outdoor shower, and satisfactory room amenities. The food was bad. The dinner buffet was utterly disastrous. The Chef argued it was good, even if everyone at that dinner was clearly not happy with the food. The next day, lunch was actually very good but unfortunately served with a horrible dessert. We honestly doubt in the Chef's understanding of what constitutes good food. The main swimming pool is nonsensical. Half of the pool is useless. It is just an idiotic concept for a pool. The boathouse activities made our day with boat trip, kayak, snorkeling and standup paddle. Overall, we had a good time. It was an average resort with fantastic landscaped gardens and nice bathroom amenities. Average service. Bad food. It is a good enough, affordable 4-star resort at best.…

Special mention to Mr Raj and his Majord'homme team, Ms Jamy, Mr Linley, Ms Marie-Michelle and Mr Arvin....They are true and genuine ambassadors of Mauritian hospitality.....In fact the So Sofitel staff deserves a 5*+++. It was our third stay at this hotel and we are all looking forward to our next family holiday there. The location, the restaurant and the facilities are all excellent. Nic, Urs, Lea and Mia R
A really nice hotel. The room was clean and very comfortable.Staff were always eager to help.(neestha, shalini, ,vikram & the F&B team) Special thanks to the chef exec Mr Vinay who made us delicious foods. Besides, the environment was pleasant and welcoming. ( every staff greets you wherever they see you)Both check-in and check-out were professionally handled and not time consuming. The scenery was beautiful and we enjoyed being in such a quiet and peaceful place. We also got the opportunity to have a conversation with the hotel manager;Mr Gungaram , a very nice person who took the time from his busy schedule to ask us about our stay( not every hotel manager has the time to do so)
