I was at Rutundu for two nights recently and all I can say is WOW! From the magnificent drive in -- pretty rough road but no problem in a 4X4 -- to our departure, everything about the trip was simply fabulous. You can fly in by plane, or helicopter by the way, or apparently even ride which I now have...

We had an absolutely amazing weekend staying here! Directions were easy, it was all included in the info pack on the website. The drive up is absolutely stunning and we stopped a few times to take it all in. Once there the staff was waiting for us to help offloading. The lodge itself is great and has everything you need...

We've stayed at a lot of places in Kenya and nowhere else do you get such a perfect 'away-from-it-all' feeling. The scenery is incredible. The air is so fresh. All you hear is the wind and the birds, and the occasional animal call at night. Fishing at Lake Rutundu is great and the strenuous 2-hour climb up to Lake Alice...

I stayed at Rutundu back in July and had a wonderful time. Everywhere else I have been in Kenya, you are never truly alone in peace and quiet. However, at Rutundu, you are definitely away from it all. During the 3 nights we were there, we didn't see a single person outside of our group and the Rutundu staff. There...

Rutundu cabins are always a delight- They are about two hours by road from the main Nanyuki road, you will need a 4x4 car to get to them, especially if it has rained. The drive is beautiful taking you up through cedar forests and heather moorlands. When you arrive you are welcomed by one of the staff and your bags...

What an amazing place , we were very lucky to share on a recent trip to Kenya. It takes approx 1hr 30m just to get there from the main road via a track only accessible to a 4x4. This means you will see nobody else on your stay, except the house staff Cosmas and James. These 2 guys really look...

Rutundu is one of the most unique experiences one can have in a country which has a plethora of unique experiences on offer. It's no wonder Prince William chose this tiny outcropping of log cabins at 10,000+ on the northeastern slope of Mt. Kenya as the place to propose to the then Kate Middleton. Nestled just above and just below...
