Cable Mountain Lodge is nestled near the cliffs of Zion National Park, yet shopping, dining, and entertainment venues are conveniently nearby. The rooms offer a distinctively warm atmosphere and the caring staff is happy to share their knowledge and local perspective to help enhance your stay. This is a lodging experience to complement your discovery (or continuing re-discovery) of Zion National Park.
Great location with plenty to do within walking distance. The room was great and clean. Hot tub had a fabulous view. Nice spot! Zion is right next door and the river is a beautiful spot to sit after hiking. Would definitely recommend this to others and return with family.
We stayed in one of the new Canyon Loft suites and couldn’t have been happier. In fact, the hotel really needs to get photos of their new rooms on their website. They are worth bragging about. Cable Mountain Lodge provides a wonderful experience to those with large families visiting Zion. It is easy to cook in your room and within walking distance to many restaurants. The coffee shop, Perks, was a favorite of mine. Also having 2 bathrooms and laundry in our room was great fir our family. We used the pool and hot tub daily while there. You do not need to catch the Springdale shuttle into the park as you just walk across a bridge and are there. The staff was all wonderful. My friend accidentally booked the wrong days and they were able to rebook her for the right days and not even charge her for the 2 nights she didn’t show up. I would highly recommend staying at the Cable Mountain Losge.
Excellent location when the shuttles are running as you can walk over the bridge into the park in under 5mins for the park shuttle and the town’s own shuttle is even nearer than that. The first of the park’s trails, like Pa’rus and the Watchman are therefore walkable from the hotel. The suites are lovely, very comfortable and well thought out, with everything you need. Ample parking. Reception staff are great. The hotel has an arrangement with various restaurants and shops to get you discounts as a resident, but we tried this twice and both times it wasn’t honoured so didn’t bother after that (and they are quite small anyway so wasn’t a big deal). The lodge doesn’t have a restaurant and doesn’t serve breakfast, but there’s a very good cafe at the top of the drive and for dinner then you can catch the shuttle up until around 8pm(ish) further into town or you can walk - most places are within a 20/25min walk. People do seem to eat early here - most restaurants were full before 7pm
We checked out this morning after four nights and we were very sad to leave. We’ve been in the US for three weeks so far, as part of our honeymoon, and this is by far the best accommodation we’ve stayed in. We had a classic suite which was perfect, massive king size bed, sitting room, kitchen, dining area, great bathroom and balcony. It was wonderful to have the chance to cook (there’s a small shop on site but Sol Foods in town is a great supermarket), whilst also being able to eat at some of the restaurants in town (Whiptail Grill was great). The suite was spotless, the staff were great and the hot tub and pool were very welcome after a day of hiking/climbing/canyoneering.
The location is the beat bit though and the views are very special! We’ve stayed inside all the others National Parks we’ve been to, for location mainly, but here you get the best of all worlds. Much better value for the facilities and the ideal spot for exploring. A three minute walk along a path and you’re inside the park and at the shuttle stop. So convenient!! You can also rent the gear you need for The Narrows hike on site which is perfect.
Cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough.
This is the best experience we have ever had staying near or in a national park. It is a mere 3 minute walk from your room door to the Zion NP entrance where you hop on the shuttles. And while you have complete convenience of location to the park, it is a privately run lodge, and you are also very close to lots of great restaurants in Springdale. The coffee shop and beer restaurant were also great and we appreciated not needing our car once we arrived. The room itself was quiet, spacious, and reasonably priced. We had a full living area and kitchen. The bed was very comfortable, and we had beautiful views of the mountains, even though our room was a courtyard room. We very much appreciated the cleanliness of the room and the attention to detail by the daily cleaning staff. It was the cleanest hotel room we have stayed in, even for rooms costing three times more per night. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the park. We will never stay anywhere else in Springdale.
