We stayed here for a week in June 2016 in the 'C' loop. The 'A' loop looked awful - bathrooms were out of order (replaced with port-a-potties) and I would imagine you could hear the road from all sites. B loop looked nice. I wish we had been on the outside of 'C' loop, either on the river or the...

Great campground for your stay in Yosemite. I would recommend the B or C sites as they are more wooded than the A sites. Much more peaceful and more nature than valley sites. Book early this is all reserved and fills up. Wawona store about 1 mile down the road is all stocked and has everything you need. If you...

I was there for 2 nights on May, 2016. Really liked the location. The glacier point is about 1.5 hours drive from here. But I couldn't go to the Tuolumne meadow as the Tioga road was closed. The campsite could just add hot water. The water from the tap was icy cold. Other than that, I was satisfied with it.

We spent one night at busy Upper Pines campground and three nights at Wawona. At first I did not like the 40 minutes drive to the park and back but that changed once we checked in. Our spot was roomy, right by the river, spacious and private. We had great time and enjoyed every minute. Definitely recommend over camping in...

4 nights (Monday-Thursday,mid May experience) Loop B, site 43...We lucked out with this particular camping spot! Loop A & C can have a lot of super close, noisy neighbors and seem almost like group camping. We were told many campers stay only 1 night. Our closest neighbors changed 4 times in our 4 nights. One nice thing was droves of...

This place was nice, it is about 30 miles south of Yosemite valley and about an hour's drive away. There isn't any hook ups but there is a dump station a mile down the road in wawona itself and there are toilets and drinking water at the site. There are bear proof lockers for your food etc if you are...

At first we were unhappy with the 10 mile trek each day from valley to site and vs. But there is nothing better then saying Good Morning/Night to an amazing site as Tunnel View. Our site was rustic, quite, peaceful and winding river outside our site. We spent 3 amazing nights with great neighbors. If I had to do it...

Wow - this has to be the most peaceful spot next to the raging river in Yosemite. Easy to pull up to with 30 ft RV but you need to book in on exact date. Staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. Wonderful walks all around but sadly no bears! The quality of water is 99% perfect!

Honestly, we booked Wawona because it was the only camp site left that was open in April and had weekend spots open. We were a little hesitant because of the distance to the valley, but we had a good experience and didn't find it to be an issue. The drive to the valley is 26 miles. So, yes, it's a...

The valley campgrounds may have waterfalls and shuttle buses but they also have all the people. Wawona in spring is peaceful and quite, removed from the business of the Valley itself. It tends to have people camping that came to enjoy nature and not folks out camping for the first time. It is one of my favorite places to pitch...
