After a long day of hiking and site-seeing in Yosemite, Wawona was a comfortable place to spend the night. The rooms had comfortable beds and the staff was exceptional. You got the feeling of history while at the same time the feel of a 5 star hotel.

Had a great stay at the Wawona. The hotel and grounds are gorgeous and the surroundings are incomparable. The staff were super friendly, gracious and accommodating. It was great being in a place with no cell phone reception (this is true throughout Yosemite and the surrounding area), no TV and minimal internet available in one location only. Changes the whole...

We had booked to stay at the Wawona during my wedding and have my reception there. The day before my May wedding, snow was forecasted and we were told we probably would not be able to get to the Yosemite chapel the next morning for our wedding. My heart dropped! The Amazing staff at the Wawona jumped into action and...

It's an old historic hotel and beautiful inside and out. The staff made me feel like a high roller, very accommodating. The restaurant made some amazing food, $20-25 for an entree but delish. I was worried about having to go outside to get to the bathroom since it's cold at night, but it was literally around the corner of our...

Bob does the most incredible music in the lobby evenings...be sure to check when he plays. Our room was neat, clean and historic...bath down the hall. The staff were great, food was fine...totally crazie at 7:30 for breakfast. Lots of early birds ready to hike. Overall wonderful visit. Wish there was an evening dinner shuttle back and forth to the...

Grand old hotel style and charm with modern amenities. It was a wonderful couples' get away with Adorondack chairs scattered over the grounds, an appealing swimming area, and easy access to the sites in Yosimite.

Wawona is about an hour from the Yosemite Valley, so driving in the daytime is best, given the winding roads. There was only one wifi spot in and above the golf shop, and a wedding took up most of that space. Restaurant was good. Very quiet place, especially when it rained. Lobby had a great fireplace.

See title for the review. All good except limited WiFi and wait for breakfast. Still 45 minutes drive to Yosemite Valley. The setting is lovely and great character in the buildings. Staff were idiosyncratic and friendly.

I loved the Wawona Hotel. The setting is beautiful, the hiking nearby excellent as you'd expect. The staff was friendly and well informed. It wasn't gimmicky no one tried to sell us trinkets or fancy, expensive add-ons. We had a room a with a shared bath which was always clean and never crowded. The porches were serene, the views were...
