We made our reservation a year in advance to have a chance to stay in the area. The location worked really well as we were determined to stay away from road construction between Norris & Mammoth after experiencing that in the spring. We did not arrive to check in until around 6:00 pm. It was not terribly busy but was...

I hate to give Cascade Lodge 2 stars; but not having a good night of rest really turned me off. Sleep quality is my number one criteria for rating an accommodation. To be fair, the room is clean, cozy and pleasant. But the nightmare came when we were woken up by the squeaky floors, heavy footsteps and conversation of our...

We stayed 3 nights at Canyon Village's Cascade Lodge. We had made a reservation about 16 months in advance, and the room was ready and waiting with quick check-in. The lodge looked new (or newly remodeled). Our room was on the end of the first floor so it had full windows on 2 walls overlooking the forest. We liked the...

When I tried to get reservations in Yellowstone all that was available was a handicapped room in Cascade Lodge. Throughout the time between making the reservations and our arrival at Yellowstone I tried numerous times to change reservations but nothing was ever available. We stayed 2 nights in early September. The room turned out to be pleasant and our stay...

Cascade Lodge, a three story wooden building at Canyon Village in Yellowstone, is centrally located in the park. The hotel style rooms are modern, clean and comfortable, and there is enough space for you and your bags. Parking is near the building. There is no elevator. Overnight temperatures dipped to -3 C, but quiet electric heat (no noisy fan) kept...

I had originally booked a frontier cabin at Canyon, but when checking in, the front desk manager told me they had not cabins available, and they weer putting us in Cascade Lodge. i had been looking forward to a cabin, but with the construction going on to remove cabins, I guess inventory was low. It was a nice surprise to...

I'd rate lower but I knew not to expect wifi, a/c, and tv, however was spoiled by the charm of lake yellowstone hotel for the first half of our visit. It was unexpectedly surrounded by construction. I didn't like the distance between the restaurants and the lodge (had to drive or face long walk). It's best feature is being centrally...

Location is everything! There are multiple places to stay on this property and the Cascade are the ONLY ones you should consider. We accidentally went to one of the others before finding the Cascade and they should be condemned. The Cascade however, was clean and the beds were comfortable. There is no AC, TV, Internet, or cell service and we...

The bedding was good and the room and bathroom were better than expected. Unfortunately, this lodge has a front porch that accommodates about 20 people. Our room basically hangs over this area. From about 4 PM until 10 PM the porch was occupied by a drunken bunch of bikers who were incredibly loud and obnoxious. After they left our neighboring...

We stayed at the Cascade Lodge for 2 nights during our trip to Yellowstone. The hotel was in a word "fine". It provided us the necessary place to stay while touring Yellowstone. The room was clean and the shower pressure was outstanding - one of the best in any hotel I have stayed in. To my surprise, we were able...

“Stay on the first floor. There are no elevators.”

“They evidently assign rooms to people ahead of time. Maybe if you talk to their reservations you can get in Dunraven.”

“We stayed on the ground floor, but I think that an upper floor may have been preferred as we could hear those above us moving around.”

“No wifi in the Cascade or Dunraven Lodge but you can get Verizon....in fact, you can get Verizon in most of the park sporadically and only Verizon seemed to work. Glad we had it. Wi-fi is available for a fee at the dinner room lounge but beware -- if you buy for 24 hours and you go to another park lodge, you have to pay again. Purchase just an hour, download and then upload your email. Bring a folding chair...great for sitting next to the creek behind Cascade. Choose rooms in the back of Cascade and Dunraven due to the construction going on for the new lodge.”
