The Mammoth Hotel is closed this year (2017) for a complete restoration that will undoubtably make Mammoth a more memorable experience than ever before. But in the absence of the hotel, my wife and I booked a very early season stay in the Mammoth Frontier Cabins. Th accommodations are rather spare and the quarters somewhat crowded. But overall it's hard...

We spent one night at this historic old hotel. It is very conveniently located as a gateway to most of the northern part of the Yellowstone. The accommodations are showing their age, but we would stay there again for the convenience. Parking is limited and is an issue, so get there early. The entrance and main lobby are quite attractive,...

We stayed in Mammoth 2 nights in the middle of our one week trip to YNP and it was probably the best 2 nights of the trip. I had booked us a 2-room cabin with shared bathroom. The cabin was simple and rustic, which was perfect for a national park vacation. Having a use the shared bathroom was well worth...

Really like the cabins and the rustic style of them. this is a good alternative to the hotel if you can't/don't want to stay in the campground. Rooms were spacious for this kind of cabin with excellent beds. All the cabin was clean. The restrooms and showers are located outside but always close to the cabins and are kept clean...

This was the smallest room we stayed in during our week long trip in Wyoming. The location worked for us. The best part were the animals roaming outside. There are some fun hikes nearby. Would recommend for 1 or 2 night stay max.

We've stayed in the cabins and in the hotel. If I had a choice again I'd just stay in the cabins. The hotel was nice, but the cabins are a larger and easy to navigate. It's also nice watching the Elk on your front porch in the morning and evenings. Great location. In the hotel I didn't have a bathroom,...

We stayed here as part of a tour of Yellowstone. Was it 5 star, no, but it was what we needed. The picture posted is the view from our room. The room was comfortable enough and the breakfast was good w/ options. Breakfast was the only meal we ate @ the hotel during out 2 night stay. We didn't 5...

We really enjoyed our stay here. There were tons of moose in the area as we drove in, which thrilled the kids. We could literally see moose feeding while laying in our hotel bed and looking out the window. The food offerings in the area is not great so I would just recommend bringing some groceries with you. The lobby...

We stayed here one day on our bus tour of Yellow Stone. The setting for this hotel was more beautiful than I expected. The hotel itself was old but well cared for. The rooms were comfortable with high ceilings. Be prepared for no tv or wi-if. There is entertainment in a ball room with a piano player and beautiful views...

We loved our cabin! Quiet, clean and relaxing, the cabins are located behind the main hotel on narrow streets that form little "blocks". Front doors face a central green area perfect for talking with your neighbors. Porches have chairs and it is very relaxing. Our cabin was attached to another, but there are single cabins as well. Quick and convenient...
