Terrible room decor dated & worn. Carpet needs replaced. Yes, room was clean but little else to comment positively. 4 people standing by the desk at check-in -- none of them told us we had to ASK to have the room cleaned. No cups or creamer at the "free" coffee in the lobby. Broken closet door. Maintenance workers entered our room to fix a problem we didn't even know was occurring -- without prior notification. Fixed something in the bathroom & still did not have it cleaned upon departure. We had 5 rooms total with various friends & family coming & going. Restaurant rarely open. One elevator working. VERY disappointed.
First off the staff was great and so was the breakfast; however, the room quality was poor. Hard beads creaky frames outdated and dirty light fixtures. The bathrooms were also bad they were clean but the drains didn’t drain and tubs were yellowed. I’ve stayed at holiday inns many times before, but the state of our room wasn’t acceptable for the rate we paid.
Very tired Holiday Inn. We were definitely concerned when we entered the lobby and saw how tired everything was. We got there at 10 pm and unfortunately had to wait a while to check in. We got to our room, pulled back the sheets and found Doritos crumbs and other miscellaneous stuff. We decided if the cleaning staff made one bed without changing the sheets there was a good chance another room would be the same so we checked out.
The check in process was mostly seamless and the staff was cordial. The room was equipped with a coffee maker, microwave and fridge. The room smelled like old carpet. The sheets etc were clean. Only one usb outlet for 2 cables. The A/C was a nightmare. It kept making this loud moaning sound and then once it clicked on/off it made loud sounds which woke me up every single time. It is noisy outside and you can head all the street traffic. I’m not a light sleeper and this was annoying. Luckily i was only there for 3 nights. I would never return. If hotels expect people to pay decent money for a stay, the least they can do is clean the carpets, upgrade the bathrooms and install quiet HVAC systems. I’ll definitely not return. I don’t know why I expected more from Holiday Inn! I was here for a business trip but I will have to recommend another brand of hotels to my job.…
Convenient location. EXCELLENT staff. They were super friendly and very helpful. My issue was with the room. The room was very outdated and not really attractive. The furniture was old, much of it scratched and worn. The carpet had some tears and was extremely outdated as well. There were tears and stains in some of the wallpaper and a couple of areas of peeling paint on the ceiling. Pretty much every area had some kind of scratch or stain in each part of suite. We had a 2 bedroom king suite which had the potential to be really nice had the decor and furniture received updates, love and care they needed. The beds and pillows were comfortable. We could have used an extra blanket. The let out sofa also wasn't bad (and those are usually awful!) The suite was clean although, the toilet seat was completely scratched and stained and the toilet bowl inside had some very gross black stain. The vanity in the main bathroom had several scratches and the bathtub was discolored. I didn't request another room because I didn't really want the hassle and it served the purpose of sleeping. This was my first time staying at a Holiday Inn. I expected better.…
For starters, we booked this place through Hotwire at a good price, but I’m starting to suspect that hotels use these services to get customers into rooms that are in need of updates, as you can’t ask to switch once you get there. The lobby is impressive and open, with a waterfall in the middle. The pool area seems fine, with a pool and hot tub. Our room though … beds were comfortable and it was very clean, but it seriously needed an update. The furniture had a lot of worn spots, scratches and stains. The bathroom needed some serious help as well. Again, clean, but the grout was yellowed and grungy, the finish on the counters was wearing off, and the fan grate was chipped and moldy. There’s just so much cleaning can do. I just expected a little better than that for a Holiday Inn.…
First thing we noticed as we entered the lobby was the pungent smell of chlorine from the pool. Then cigarette smoke. We could hear the people in the room next to ours as the rooms are not sound proof and we could see light under our door through a quarter inch gap between door and floor. I will say that we had a good experience when we went for a drink in the bar. The bartender was friendly and attentive.
This hotel is run down. It needs a renovation. Our room was right next to the freeway and the traffic noise was terrible all night long. Our bathroom was dirty had peeling wallpaper, and the wood laminate was peeling off our door. The mattress was uncomfortable but our sheets were clean. The plaster was peeling off the ceiling in the corner. We travel ALOT and I do not recommend this hotel. We were supposed to stay 2 nights and only stayed one because of the condition of our room.
Thank you so much for taking care of our group. Staff was excellent as were the rooms. A+ service all around. I will definitely stay at this property again. Wish all hotels were like this. Looking forward to next time!
Staff were friendly and professional. The room was really dated. The wood on the bathroom door was peeling off in large strips. The beds were full sized, not queen sized. The room was dark and small. We didn’t use any of the amenities. Breakfast was buffet only. No option for just a coffee and a yogurt. Location was good near food and shopping.
