Check in process was smooth. Television in sitting area was nothing but static. Called for help then went to a concert at Music Hall. Came back to a non-functional television. Called for help again and a gentleman came and fixed the TV. Getting ready for bed, my wife noticed the sheets seem to have been slept in by a previous occupant. Talked to the manager, and he sent up some additional sheets which were simply dropped off by an employee. Talked to the manager again and he personally came up, verified the issue and remade the beds with clean linens. After he left, we noticed that the television had again stopped working. The next morning, the TV still did not work; neither did the coffee pot. Good news – the manager comped the room. Bad news – the family was very unhappy, sleep was limited, and the overall experience was not satisfactory. At least it cost us very little……
We arrived a little early for our two night reservation.so our room wasn't quite ready. The front desk immediately offered us an upgrade to a wonderful suite. The entire staff from the valet, breakfast crew to housekeeping were exceptionally courteous and helpful. Our room, as was the entire building, very clean. Five stars from us!
my hubby gave me DWTS tix for Christmas and we wanted to make a night of it. Dined and stayed at the Residence Inn downtown/The Phelps. Neither of our TV's worked at checkin, they replaced the bedroom TV (our request) and gave us 2 drink tix at the bar, I guess because we weren't angry? So nice of them to do so. Bartender KAT is an amazing mixologist, highly recommend her jalapeno margarita! And another should out to Nicole (in the kitchen) for making our dinner spectacular. Hubby had the beer battered fish and raved about it not being too heavily breaded. I miss the ahi tuna plate on the menu though!! From the valet to the front desk, WELL DONE!
The Phelps, A Residence Inn is absolutely the best hotel. My experience here is always superb! The staff is so accommodating and pleasant. I especially love the kitchen staff. They really caterer to you and make you feel like you're at home. I highly recommend The Phelps!!!!
Everything was wonderful! Great room and great bar. Walking distance to the Taft Theater and a little longer walk to baseball park. Not many restaurant choices nearby but many you can drive to or Uber. Breakfast was excellent. The Kitchen Ladies were so attentive and kind. Plenty of food at 7:45am. A wide variety of hot and continental. We would definitely stay here again!
This is my Second stay at the Phelps Residence Inn and my stay was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! The desk staff was amazing! The kitchen staff was IMPECCABLE!! Tasha, Angie & Debbie were Amazing and friendly! Vana, the housekeeping Supervisor was pleasant as well! My stay was nothing short of amazing! This staff was kind and attentive and I will continue to stay here!!
My stay at the Phelps was amazing. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was impeccable, especially due to the friendliness of the Tasha, Ms. Debbie, and Angie (the kitchen crew). I would give 10 stars if I could!
Kat and Nicole at the bar and restaraunt were awesome . The food was delicious and they were so nice and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone . The atmosphere was lovely. I definitely would like to go again some day for pleasure.
Tosha Debbie & Karen they were excellent and it was nice to see a happy crew! I traveled all over the world and this hotel was one of the best stays. Only thing I would recommend is earplugs Highway road noise is terrible...
My husband and I needed a short get away but wanted to stay fairly regional so we found the Residence Inn by Marriot/Phelps in downtown Cincinnati. I am not exaggerating when I say from the minute we pulled up to the front entrance to the time we left we had an amazing stay. We were met by the valet, assisted with our luggage and shown in. We were met by the most lovely host (I'm frustrated I can't recall her name and didn't write it down but if you go you'll know her by her lovely personality and her beautiful eyes). She immediately engaged with us, telling us about fun things to do in the city. Our room was incredible. For the first time in my husband's well traveled life he said he felt comfortable. When one fairly inconsequential issue arose (needed shampoo) I heard a knock at my door within minutes and had the shampoo given to me by Kenny "Fix It", the hotel maintenance man. He was so friendly. The staff at the front desk each morning was amazing. The staff in the kitchen/breakfast area (which the food by the way was top notch) was also so friendly. I found interactions between staff to indicate they truly like working there and with each other. Not one time was anyone cross. The Phelps Bar was also amazing I will never forget the Pork Belly Pancakes made by Nicole or the amazing drinks prepared by Kat and Tim, We will go back to Cincinnati again because we enjoyed the city but we will absolutely stay at the Phelps. I cannot wait to go back!…
