The location is great but here's my story on why I think they are lacking in customer service. The day I was scheduled to fly back home to California I ended up falling in the bathroom, There was no way I could walk, my husband had to pick me up off the floor and he called downstairs for a wheelchair, and off we went to the ER, needless to say, I broke my femur and had to have surgery in Cinncinati!! When we were leaving the hotel the front desk girl wanted us to fill out a report which my husband did, she said the manager would call him, but to this day no one has called or emailed me to see how I was doing!!! When the doctor said I needed surgery we were in panic mode! We had to cancel our flight, extended our car rental, and of course, extend our hotel stay for my family while I was in the hospital, my husband is an IHG Platinum member so he called the Holiday Inn to see if there were any rooms available for him and my daughter, but the person on the phone said the hotel was sold out all weekend and could have cared less what happened early that day, he got was on OOOH. Very thoughtless!!!! Needless to say, my family ended up going to the Marriott, They left loyal customer stranded in a time of need. The manager could have called my husband that day to see what was going on, but nope.. I think this was a very important matter, and the person who was on the phone telling my husband you had no rooms could have helped him find another holiday inn nearby, but NO! We were all so scared but no help them. After having surgery I was in no condition to fly back to California, so we ended up driving cross country back to California. What an experience. just very disappointed in the customer service and lack of sympathy…
I BOOKED THREE ROOMS AT THIS HOTEL FOR $180 A NIGHT PER ROOM FOR JULY 26, 2023. I THEN RECEIVED A CALL FROM JACOB, THEIR OPERATIONS MANAGER, THAT THEY WOULD BE CANCELING MY RESERVATION BECAUSE THE HOTEL WOULD BE UNDERGOING RENOVATIONS DURING THAT TIME. THIS IS, IN FACT, A LIE. LOOKING AT THEIR WEBSITE, I COULD NOW RE-BOOK THE SAME ROOMS IF I WANTED TO PAY $541 A NIGHT PER ROOM. I GUESS THEY FIGURED OUT P!NK IS GOING TO BE IN TOWN. THIS IS THE EPITOME OF PRICE GOUGING. I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL, NOR RECOMMEND IT TO EVEN MY WORST ENEMY!!!!
We loved our stay in downtown Cincinnati. This is a great location in downtown, close to restaurants, and an easy walk to the ball park. The front desk staff was super friendly, as well as the breakfast service staff. The hotel was updated and clean, and the beds were super comfy.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and the pillows were so nice. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting downtown Cincinnati.
Staff was friendly & helpful. Very clean & well kept property. Rooms were decent size with great beds. Restaurant breakfast was good & was a decent price. Didn’t have an opportunity to use the pool but also looked nice. Parking was a little confusing. It’s the garage to the side (not across the street. Whether you are going to leave car or come & go determines which enterence & exit to use. I should have listened more closely at check in.
We were only here for one night but the staff was very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. Hotel is in a good spot, walking distance to the Hard Rock. I definitely recommend.
We stayed here to attend a wedding at Bell Events Center and it was just amazing. Its a smaller property - but when we requested for an adjoining rooms to accommodate our small one's - they made sure we got what we need for the stay. The hotel looks brand new as well so that's a plus. Rooms are in great size and parking location super accessible (additional fee). Our little one's also enjoyed their indoor pool! Big shout out to Sabrina (GM) and Jacob (AGM) for making our stay at Holiday Inn & Suites Cincinnati Downtown GREAT!
This Is a brand new hotel the holiday inn express and suites. The rooms were Very clean both kitchen and bathrooms were very tidy. The personnel working at the front desk were very courteous and helpful. My only complaint and it really is a small one is that housekeeping did not clean my room on two of the days that I asked for it to be cleaned. One of those days I even talk to the housekeeping directly and she just looked at me and said she would try to get to it and she didn’t. The restaurant attached to the hotel was more than adequate. The menu was small compared to other restaurants but the food was very good. There are many restaurant options with an easy walking distance from the hotel. Try Cocktails and Pies just a block away from the hotel. The have very good pizzas! I would add that there is a parking garage next to the hotel that charges $12 per day parking while if you use the valet service it is $16 a day. All in all a very good experience. I would recommend this hotel if you were staying in the downtown Cincinnati area…
We stayed at this hotel recently while in Cincinnati. This was the perfect location for our needs. The room was clean ad the front desk staff were attentive. If we find ourselves in the great city of Cincinnati again, this will be our home away from home.
We stayed here for 3 nights. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Our room was good. The location was good, and we were able to walk to the river walk and many restaurants. You do need to pay for parking, and there is no free breakfast. We did not visit the hotel restaurant. We did use the pool which was nice. We ordered pizza twice, trying 2 staff favorites. We preferred Toppers.
