Chris and the team at Anchuca did an outstanding job organizing a surprise birthday party for my wife! He listened to my ideas and planned a wonderful meal in the Garden Room for our party of ten. Chris was very attentive and accommodating from start to finish...handling everything from special appetizers and drinks to ordering a custom cake! I would...

I have just returned from a most pleasurable stay at Anchuca B&B. Anchuca is a wonderful blend of elegance and coziness reminiscent of an earlier time period in history. The grounds and house are maintained to the highest standard of perfection that is only surpassed by the friendliness and attention of the entire staff. I was delighted with Ellen's Room,...

Staying at Anchuca is a bit like staying on the set of Gone With the Wind. OK, maybe I exaggerate a bit, but the charm and history here is for real, even if the scale is not that of Tara. Our rooms (we had a set of connected rooms upstairs) were beautifully appointed with period furnishings, transporting us back to...

I had the recent pleasure of staying at Anchuca overnight this past weekend. I was in town for a race and wanted somethig relatively close to the race starting point. While I had previously eaten at Anchuca Cafe, I had not stayed in the house and was excited after reading other reviews. From the time we arrived, the hospitality of...

This 1830s vintage home has been tastefully and beautifully converted into a premier B&B. Our room was quite comfortable and immaculately clean. Ice awaited us in the small fridge, glasses for drinks and wine were on hand in the room. Grounds are lovely and there is a beautiful pool area we look forward to enjoying the next time we are...

This is a beautiful B&B which is a very well maintained historic antebellum home. We loved our room. It was on the second floor above the cafe. Staying in main part of the home would have been nicer but the rooms were booked. Breakfast is delicious but during your stay have dinner there too. We had dinner there twice, because...

We stayed here one night when traveling from Florida back home to Texas. We didn't really know what to expect - it was our first time in Vicksburg, first time in Mississippi, and first time at a B&B! Even though we weren't there very long, we really enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the annex - they have one room...

We stayed at Anchuca one night when visiting the National Military Park in Vicksburg. The location is ideal – very close to the Park, and walkable to the courthouse museum. It’s a nice, quiet neighborhood with cobblestone streets, but the real draw is the house itself. Antebellum finery, historical significance, a patio under the moonlit magnolias, and you’ll have it...

It was great fun to stay in this historic inn right in the middle of Vicksburg. We had hoped for more of a view of the Mississippi but it was well worth the trade-off to stay here rather than a casino hotel! Room 7 in the Carriage House row was charming and comfortable. Breakfast was great, including cheese grits daily....
