We were staying this hotel when my sister visited me all the way from different country. We enjoyed very much until water problem happened on Sep 9 night. Water stopped in almost whole hotel and we didn’t get any announce until later at the reception counter. All the call was busy so we needed to go downstairs to ask what was happening. I also texted the hotel because they had the text service, but they replied 30mins later. They even told us that we could get another room where the water was not damaged, but never told us how to. We ended up with waiting in line at the lobby for 40min and finally water was fixed so we did not get another room. No staff talked to us about anything when we were in line. It was already around 11pm when we finally get back to our room wasting over an hour try to figure out how we could take shower. We actually planned to wake up early on the next day, so it was so disappointing… We did not get any discount or comment about this problem and that was also dissappointing.…
The location of the 'Alohilani was absolutely stunning, perfect, and easy for beach access, shopping, and dining. I loved we were able to take advantage of the partnership with Beach Candy so we could have complimentary rentals of things like coolers and floats for the beach. There were a few too many kids in the pool and hot tub, and it would have been a better experience if there were adult-only hours for the hot tub after 7pm. It was hard to enjoy Champagne and a romantic experience with little kids jumping in and screaming. The front desk was very nice and accommodating, and went out of their way with recommendations from everything as off-resort breakfast and nail salons. I was never able to get the concierge on the phone, but there was a texting service that was helpful. The rooms were fantastic- clean, with comfy cozy bedding and lovely Japanese-style toilet/bidets. We stayed for three nights and it was a way better experience than our previous five days at airbnb's. Absolutely lovely. …
A great location, and good amenities. But they could do way better. CHECK-IN: We arrived at 9am, however asked if we could just leave our bags and go to the pool. The line at check-in was very long, took at least 15 minutes to get to the front. We had paid for an early check-in at 12pm as part of our package, however when we returned at 12pm to collect our room keys our room was not ready and we stood and waited for another hour until it was finally ready. No apologies from check-in staff. ROOM/SERVICE: Rooms are only serviced every two days which was pretty annoying given the price of the rooms. Bottled water only supplied on day 1. Hairdryer did not work, informed staff but was not replaced. Towels were not fully replaced when room was serviced although used towels were removed. No one ever answered the phone when you called. POOL: Lovely setting but no where near enough loungers, plus the sun was blocked for most of the day. The pool music was VERY loud!! And it went all day and all night. You couldn’t really read a book or have a conversation with anyone. Great to have music but please turn it down, it is supposed to be an area to relax and read or sleep, not a nightclub. The staff at the pool were great and Frose cocktails were delicious. GYM: Pretty good, lots of equipment but no floor mats or anywhere to do core exercises. FOOD/DRINK Momosan and Morimoto were both excellent. Went to Morimoto twice, delicious food and excellent service. O-Bar - queues and wait time for coffees in the morning were pretty extreme, need more staff on.…
It’s a decent place if you don’t mind hidden fees and paying for amenities you aren’t even going to use, but at least breakfast tasted pretty good (as you’d hope considering it isn’t free) there was a few frustrations here, some of the staff was not the nicest, parking is inconvenient, and it smells like weed a lot of the time, but at least it had a pretty view.
Our room tempature was at 79 degreees. You could not adjust it lower. We told the desk and he said he would send up maintenance. Never fixed. Also we booked a room with an ocean view. We got a room with a partial ocean view. This weekend that we went had a street faire and concert close by so valet took forever.
We loved this hotel so much. Great price, location, customer service and beautiful. We had to sworxh from the first hotel because it was horrible and definitely didn't match the pictures. Our Apple Vacation rep found this place last minute and got us in. We couldn't have asked for a better place.
Beautiful resort, generous room with sea- and volcano-view from the balcony, beach just across the street with many shops and restaurants closeby. Resort offers free of charge activities like Lei making or hula classes with a local (really loved those). Overall we had a fantastic time there and would come back on our next trip to Waikiki Beach.
Sound insulation of the room is bad. I could hear mechanical sound of an elevator from one side of the room, and I could hear the toilet flushing sound from the room next to ours. Temperatures control doesn't seem to be working. Temperature would go down below 73F
We stayed at Alohilani for our family work-cation for the Waikiki Ho'olaulea. From the drive -- to front desk -- to housekeeping -- to poolside, we had a great experience. Staff were very friendly, helpful and accomodating. Small touches throughout the property that were purely for guest enjoyment [water stations to fill reuseable mugs, complementary snacks, picture taking areas] is AWESOME!! We'll definitely bring our 'ohana back again.
It was a beautiful resort. Clean, simple, and full of ALOHA. We enjoyed the full ocean view room and would love to stay here again. Central to most everything needed. Rented a car and the back parking garage was very useful.
