The staff was rude from front desk to some of the valet. This location is definitely not of standards of which other Hilton Properties are. From check in there were problems all the way to leaving. Training is definitely needed for the staff…..
This is a review of the amazingly talented receptionist who took my call while I was following up on a reservation I made online. Her name was Tessa. She was incredibly kind efficient and professional. She demonstrated all of the amazing client experience qualities I’ve come to know and appreciate from Hilton hotels. It isn’t often that you speak to someone on the phone who exudes a brands promise so affectively as Tessa did. My daughter who was born in Hawaii 17 years ago and is returning to the island at the beginning of August to explore the land she was born in, makes this trip so special to us. Tessa was able to capture the sentiment of that special trip and Taylor her language and her tone on the call to one of empathy and excitement for us. It made us feel like we were talking to a friend and not a business. So special in a world where technology can seem to replace that human connection, Tessa exemplifies how wonderful customer service can be. Thank you Tessa. Jessica and Bella…
Lobby was clean & modern. Free coffee in the lobby in the mornings. Rooms are small. 3 people in a room with 2 DOUBLE beds with luggage = crowding. However housekeeping was done daily & front desk was helpful. City view facing International Market is good location but noisy at night. Close walk to Waikiki beach & shopping & restaurants.
We would like to thank Andrea who worked very hard in order to get us a room. The day i came in was a busy day for the hotel. Although i reserved my room more than half year away. It is summer, so rooms were not available and ready at the time we arrived. At the end, we appreciated Andrea who worked hard to ensure her guests deserved the best. Thanks to Connie, who was patience, offered her help and checked us out at 4.30AM smoothly. Nolan (the bellboy dept.) was pleasant, great attitude, found us a great taxi driver who was willingly to pick us up at 4.45AM. Last but not least, Tina you are a hard worker, we felt fresh every time we came back to our room. Hilton G/Inn Waikiki is fortunate to have such great employees working there. Mahalo
There are some exceptional people who work here: front desk manager Nicholas, yoga instructor, maintenance and some valet staff. The location is the best aspect, followed by a comfy King bed and a spacious adjoining room. Wifi sometimes dropped, but was fast. The first night, the room had fruit flies, carpet was damp and tables were dirty, but things improved with the manager's assistance. As the week progressed, I saw more cleaning on the pool deck. For a low price point, this hotel would be acceptable. Hotel needs to replace dirty pool lounge chairs and worn out yoga mats. If you want attention to detail, go elsewhere.
ANDREW and BRIAN connected my son’s play station for us. They went ABOVE 5 stars and were very friendly and welcoming. They showed us Aloha. It’s not every day that a hotel staff would do this and with big smiles! Thank you Brian and Andrew!!! Mahalo
We stayed at the hotel due to a family wedding. Everything from the staff, hotel and room was great. Slight airflow issue in the bathroom with the towels not drying well but this didn't deter from the stay. Would recommend this hotel as it is walking distance to the beach, restaurants, shopping, etc.
Terrible experience. Room was next to an elevator shaft. It was so noisy that it felt like my room was built on a train track. And I paid $400 for it for one night! Avoid any room number 50. I was in 1650. Was not even given a different room on explaining that I couldn’t sleep at all at night. I was told that “they’ll allow me” to cancel the rest of the nights “without any penalty charge”. 😀 Like seriously. They also charge ~$35 resort fee to use towels, beach mats etc and and you have to walk 4 blocks over to the other Hilton to actually get them. The valet people are extremey rude and have no aloha spirit. Was luckily able to find Hotel Vive for the rest of my trip and it couldn’t be any better! Save your money and trip and stay away from this property!
Hilton Garden Inn - The hotel staff were friendly, professional, and accommodating. The hotel lobby and hotel room were very clean and nicely kept. The noise level from outside was OK from the 16th floor. I had no problems falling asleep.
Great central location. Right in front of the Market Place. Comfortable clean rooms, plenty of elevators. Also had a nice fitness center. Will stay here again for sure. Stayed here 10 days. The concierge was also very helpful with booking tours.
