We only stayed one night. The bed was very comfortable and the room was great olverall. The location is central and close to everything. Staff is very friendly and the breakfast is great for COVID times.
Unfortunately, Waikiki isn't fully open at this time due to as Coronavirus and I wanted for us to stay at the Vive like we did last time but they were closed. So we had to do some more TA research and some reviews mentioned how clean Hyatt Place was and that was important along with a fair price and amenities. Hyatt Place checked all these boxes for us. Before leaving, I called to get a lay of the land and the person who picked up spent a good amount of time on the phone with me to give me the current situation and to tell me what was open or not open. I really appreciated this and this helped me make up our minds on this property. Arrival at night and checking in was smooth. We booked a partial oceanview king room and while it was a touch smaller than our room at the Paramount in Seattle that we had just left, we got used to it. The room had a large tv, coffee machine, safe, iron and board, fridge, small (SMALL) couch and ok bed (a touch mushy for my liking but no biggie). The bathroom had a large shower stall. We liked our room. The room was pretty clean - the controllers were even wrapped up for us. Only found a small piece of garbage on the floor by the trash can - also no biggie, I've totally forgotten what it even was by now. The hotel's fitness room is open for 4 people at a time. We used it about 4 times on our stay as it has a good amount of cardio machines - treadmills, ellipticals, 2 bikes - and a flat bench with dumbbells up to 50 lbs. Wish there was more weight stuff but no probs. There's also on site laundry machines - about 3 bucks to wash and 3 bucks to dry. We bought our detergent at Target in Kailua when we went there for food one day. The hotel also includes a generous breakfast - your choice among an egg sandwich (the Jimmy Dean ones you find at BP gas station stores), apples, hard boiled eggs, granola bars, juice, milk, and prepackaged muffins. It was a lot and I could never finish the whole thing so there were days when I asked only for an apple, eggs and granola bar. The 2 ladies who distribute the food were also very nice with smiles and greetings every morning. Coffee is by the side of the front desk and gloves are provided for you to handle the stuff. Again, cleanliness. There's a water filtration machine where we filled our water bottle daily. They have parking but it was full on our first day so PRO TIP - park it at the Banyan diagonal from the Park Hyatt because they have a weekly rate of 80 bucks which saves you a little bit of money because the daily rate at the Park Hyatt and the Banyan is 20 bucks a day. The Park Hyatt has a small pool, as well. It's on the 3rd floor next to the gym but we didn't use it. I mean Kuhio Beach is 3 blocks away. There's also a Dominos on site but didn't go. We did see that they did stay relatively busy though. We extended our stay by a few days but couldn't keep our room so we moved to a larger 2 queen room but facing the mountainside. This room was larger with a roomier living area than the king with the partial ocean view. Probably better if you've got kids and dont care for the view. We saw a glorious sunset from our ocean view one night but the mountain view had a glorious sunrise one day, as well. We would definitely stay here again. Picture of the sunset from the ocean king, picture of double rainbow from the lobby and picture of sunrise from the mountain double queen.…
Great view and great location. Walking distance to the beach and many restaurants. Breakfast is terrible so save yourself and go out for breakfast. The staff is nice and helpful. Hotel also offers beach towels and chairs.
We were extremely pleased with HYATT PLACE on Waikiki Beach - great proximity to a nice place to swim and easy walking to Diamond Head. The safe touch-less carry away breakfast was also very well done.
Great location near Waikiki Beach. Walking distance to many great restaurants. Breakfast was great! Very clean and super comfy! Beach towels and beach chairs are included with resort fee. I highly recommend.
