This stay was so comfortable and was never bothered by anyone. Great location and walking distance to many places. Family loved it and would recommend to all who want an affordable place for the 5 star quality!
Overall we have no complaints! Quick check-in, four working elevators, beautiful lobby, convenient location- 1 block to Waikiki beach & 1 block to the bus stop, kind staff, clean hotel, clean room, no noise issues, great view, & overall we loved our stay! Definitely got a great price for our six night stay in July, a lot of bang for the buck. I will say the beds seemed to be more full-sized than queen-sized, the pool is not 6 feet deep even though it states that it’s 6 feet deep (I’m 5.10 & my whole head was above the surface when I stood flat on my feet), & the wifi wasn’t the best, but these were non-issues for our group. There’s a convenient minimart in the lobby that has a little bit of everything, and there’s a grocery mart two blocks away that is great, too. I highly recommend this place! Well worth your time & money. Very pleased with our stay! (:…
Rooms was pretty outdated! Beds weren’t the most comfortable, but we had a great view of the beach, & only a block away. Lots of restaurants in walking distance. Full kitchen was convenient. Great place for family on a budget as it was clean albeit old.
We spent almost 2 weeks at this hotel the beds were comfortable. The rooms were spacious and clean. We enjoyed the convenience of the kitchen during our stay. The pool was nice but seemed super crowded at certain times every day. The staff is helpful and friendly. The location of this hotel is a nice part of Waikiki. Easy walk to the beach and restaurants and shopping. We would definitely stay here again.
Your rooms are not reflective of the photos that you are showing on your website. All of the furniture, finishings, carpets, even the paint on the walls and the wall outlets are all old, dirty and worn. The couches and bed mattresses are old and lumpy. The plugs and cables for the TV are disorganized and layout out in the open making it easy for any baby or child to tamper with an get hurt. There was also an old router and modem in the room half hidden behind the couch with cables and wires hanging out loose. But, we couldn't even access that modem for internet access. The sliding doors between the living and sleeping room and the bathroom door need to be replaced/repaired. The furniture and fridge could use a major update. With the state of the room, I'd say they are more reflective of a 2-star hotel. Besides the outdated and poor condition of the rooms, the staff was super friendly and probably the best feature of the hotel. …
Not even close to being considered fancy but conveniently located with ample parking. The Waikiki Banyan has been our family go-to when in town for the last few years. Small kitchen in the room with a full fridge and stovetop to make easy meals when we’re at the hotel. Pool is available and the beach is a 5 minute walk down the street. Nothing near luxury but basically a place to sleep. Over the years the place has become more run-down. Elevators are SLOW. Housekeeping is rarely seen. Rooms need renovation pretty bad. Carpet is old and furniture is dated. Each room has a sofa with pullout sleeper but has the most uncomfortable springs which make it impossible to get a good night’s rest. But for the money and convenience it’s and OK place to crash in town.
Overall, good value. Have stayed here 5 times and each time room has been different with varying level of updates. This time we had no dishwasher, which was ok but disappointing. Elevators are slow in peak times and parking can be busy as well. That all said, rooms are clean and the location is a block and a half from the beach and price is good. I will definitely stay here again.
Rooms do not look like advertised. They are outdated and dirty. We were not able to check into our room till 30min after our guaranteed check in time. They are individually owned and run down. There is nothing staff can do but apologize for the conditions of the room.
I had a great time and the customer service was on point. The location is great. They really took care of us. I will tell anyone who is visiting Hawaii Honolulu go to Aston Waikiki Banyan, it's a great place to stay
I feel like I was catfished, this room looked nothing like the photos for the room I booked online. The bed and pillows were so uncomfortable. Also smelled damp and moldy. The TV didn't work, the fridge didn't dispense ice or water, and bidet didn't work.
