Honolulu’s landmark hotel is beside the world’s largest open-air shopping mall, and a short stroll to the inviting waters of the Pacific. Choose from over 1000 rooms, each with free WiFi and either mountain, city or ocean views. Some larger suites also include kitchen facilities. A host of dining options exist within the hotel, including a restaurant on the 36th floor. Ala Moana Hotel also offers nearly 15,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, up to nine meeting rooms and WiFi and satellite conference facilities.
Ala Moana Hotel by Mantra will commence a refurbishment of our ground floor lobby, pool deck and landscaping starting February 25th, 2020. The project will be completed over three phases, with the main reception lobby due to be finished by the second week of April and the Starbucks lounge following in the first week of June. Unfortunately the swimming pool will be closed from the beginning of March 2020 until the beginning of June, as we transform this space. We thank you very much for your patience and understanding during this exciting project.
Alamoana Hotel is a clean and nice hotel to stay at while in Hawaii. The location is prime as it is near the mall, the beach, Waikiki and many other things to do. All the workers were friendly, kind and energetic. I especially loved how the 2nd floor is connected to the mall. I love how laid back the pool site is. Will book here over any hotel in Waikiki.
Stayed in 2018 and loved it however, this time was disappointed with front desk staff, felt they were unhelpful at times and the new deck area of the pool is already lifting and could be dangerous if not fixed, the furniture is very dirty looking, could do with a few more plants to make area look less like a concrete car park 😤
My friends and I stayed at this hotel on 9/10-9/15. Our room was ok. In our room, we couldn’t open the door to our balcony as it was under construction. The pool area was also ok. Pool open but still the area was under construction. We were not able to use the sauna. It was closed. Overall, the staff was wonderful. I lost my phone and Ms. Heide Kila was so wonderful. She was supportive and assisted me in any way she could to attempt to find my location of my phone. Since there is no business center I had no access to a computer. It was frustrating. However, she came to my rescue. Thank you so much ! I will never forget how helpful she was. Also I would like to thank Kia, manager of Cafe 410. She was very hospitable and very professional. Thank you again Ms. Kia. The signature restaurant on the top floor (36?) was amazing. Great view and great food. They have the best happy hour. The beach not far from the hotel passed the shopping center was amazing. The water was gorgeous, clear and warm. There are showers and restrooms. I would like to return to the hotel after construction and renovation. Hopefully the sauna will be opened again. Mahalo everyone!…
Location of the property is great, connected to the shopping centre. Staff were friendly. Rooms were good, and even though exterior work was happening, there was no disturbance. Accor member benefits are not at the same level as in Oceania.
The hotel is conveniently located next to great shopping. However, the room itself was so gross. We only stayed one night. I definitely would NOT recommend. The room had a sliding balcony door that would not open. The toilet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in A WHILE. The shower head was so calcified that water barely came out but the worst of it was the shower curtain. It looked like someone had picked their nose and wiped it all on the curtain. We couldn't wait to leave.
CS lacked Customer Service. The room was equivalent to a Motel 6. The employees (some) lacked the Aloha sprit. It didn't help that the front desk agent checking my sis in law into the Waikiki Tower told her that the tower I will be in is a "yucky" tower.
Check in process is very long which is not the best seeing as most people are coming off of longs flights. Room is quite small and not exactly what the photos looked like. Air conditioning works well. Staff is very nice and helpful. Very busy area with lots of traffic.
Love Ala Moana hotel for location. Recently stayed to be close to kapiolani hospital. Walking distance to the shopping center and target for easy dining options. Kamaaina rates cheapest we found recently. Only downside was the check in line was ridiculous with an hour wait. They should really look into mobile checkin.
Amazing stay, extremely clean room and facilities. Would absolutely stay again. Only downside is how expensive daily parking is and the fact that the pool closes at 7 pm every day. Aside from that, location is perfect.
Close to nice park and good safe swimming beach. Adjoining shopping centre. Starbucks, grocery and souvenir shop, plus holiday clothing shop on site. Great buffet breakfast available. Conference or venue facilities if required.
