Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Perfect location for our vacation. Close to restaurants, beaches, shopping, etc. Our second time in this hotel. Self parking not easy to get to if not comfortable driving in narrow spaces. I recommend valet parking or no car at all. Overall, highly recommend.

I always return to Hyatt because of the location. It’s in the heart of everything. I was disappointed with the condition of the rooms. They need to be updated. The rooms was clean and I had no problems with the staff. The Check in process is horrible. You can be standing in line for 30 mins or more. However everyone stay here so I guess this is to be expected. I will come again.

While located in a tourist Hotspot, the Hyatt provides exceptional care and excellent services for all its guests. Given its proximity to the airport, Waikki beach, Honolulu Zoo, and Diamond Head this makes it the perfect hotel for guest traveling to Oahu for the first time!

Room was very clean with an very good view of Waikiki Beach. Great proximity to shopping and restaurants. If you are traveling with small children it might help to know that hotel isn't very stroller friendly. In order to get to the 2nd floor, where the check-in and elevators are, you have to go up a flight of stairs or take the escalators. I assume there must be an elevator somewhere, but it certainly wasn't obvious.

Great location in the heart of Waikiki. The Duke statue is literally across the street. I was in the Diamond head tower with an incredible view. I had breakfast on the balcony and watched a few beautiful sunsets from there too. I initially had a room in the Ewa tower but I wasn’t happy with the sliver of ocean view. I asked to change and had pay the upgrade difference. It was well worth it for the view. The room itself was large. Good size bathroom and I appreciated the bidet style toilet. The king bed was comfy with lots of good pillows. The staff did an awesome job cleaning. One day there was an issue with the sink not draining and it was taken care of immediately. No issues with water pressure but it could have been a little hotter for my liking. We did use the valet service for $60 per night or $50 self park. Apparently it’s extremely tight and hard to navigate. Not cheap either way. The resort fees were $50 per night. Very expensive but many hotels have this now. It’s hard to avoid it. The pool was on the small side for a hotel this large and very packed. It was tough to find lounge chairs if you didn’t go early. There was lots of coughing and sneezing there too. I never felt “safe” there because of that. They were able to give me an extra late check out at 6pm for a charge, because of my 10:30pm flight. Because of COVID they do not offer hospitality rooms for this type of thing. I liked the farmers market a few times a week and got lots of fresh fruit, treats and souvenirss from it. The 3 ABC stores on the property was very convenient. It’s a very large property to navigate though. Overall, awesome stay and friendly staff.

We stayed at the Hyatt for 13 night and we loved it. It is central to everything, clean and on the whole the staff are very friendly, there was one staff member who did spoil it for us. Like many people at the moment our flight home was cancelled so I attended the service desk ti try and book another night in the same room and was told I just had to go online and book a room, I couldn't get the same room, I did a chat online and was informed they could do it as our room was available for that night, I went back to the desk and was sever by a lovely man, Melvyn, who escalated our request and booked us into the same room, admittedly for an exorbitant price. The resort has shops underneath for browsing and a market twice a week When we were there it was summer holidays and there were long line ups for restaurants and often if you didn't book you couldn't get in, some of our favourites Lulus, Tex 808, Appetito , Cheesecake Factory (of course), Cheeseburgers in Paradiuse and Buho Cocina y Cantina, all have a good menu...and cocktails.

Location: The best..across the street from the beach and luxury shops. Room: No hot water, difficult to control shower, dirty sheets, broken drain stopper. We had no hot water for much of our stay and it was difficult to control the water to distribute from the hand held versus the over head shower. The over head shower had such low water pressure it was pointless. The comforter had some stains that were very questionable and the sheets had blood on them. Unfortunately, we did not notice them until the morning so we threw them on the ground so that the housekeeping staff would know they needed to be changed. To top it off, I called housekeeping that same morning to tell them to change an entire bed sheet change because of those reasons. The next morning, we wake up and noticed that the comforter and sheets were not changed at all (YUCK). So we ended up sleeping in the same dirty comforter and bloody sheets. Finally, we stayed in the room to watch housekeeping change the sheets so that we would not be subject to sleeping on the same blood stained sheets and dirty comforter. The housekeeper was nice though. Finally, I like to soak an hand wash my bathing suit. I prefer soaking them in the sink then hang dry. Our room stopper did not work. I called down to Housekeeping and they said they would look at it but during my entire stay it did not work so I was forced to leave the water running to hand wash my bathing suit. What a waste of water?! Staff: Over they were friendly with the exception of the pool staff and bartenders. My pool experience was terrible. The waiters never came over to see if we (me and three kids) wanted to order drinks or food. After 30 minutes of watching the staff help everyone else around me, I walked over to the bartender and ordered 1 Shirley temple, two Roy rogers, one vodka soda with three limes, and an order of french fries. The bartender was pretty upset I was order from them instead of from a waiter which I told her why I had to (no one bothered to help me). She reluctantly took my order. I even had to pick up the food and drinks my self. When I sat down to try to enjoy my drink, it tasted as though they failed to add any alcohol to my drink so I walked back and ask for her to add a splash of titos and even offered for her to try it. Usually bar tenders will use a cocktail straw to taste it, but she was not willing to so her very rude co-bartender walked over with the titos, poured a ton of it into my cup and threw the bottle.

This was very convenient for me during my staycation in Waikiki with a toddler. Enjoyed the CLUB LOUNGE, the fitness room, and the ABC stores on the property. The only thing I disliked is how small the pool was so it was always crowded. They need a bigger pool or add another pool.

The breakfast food options are very limited, $36 for breakfast too expensive, unrulily children in the pool/jacuzzi, happy hour is very bad, no real discounts, room not clean, bugs in room, also no housekeeping for days, asked for room to be cleaned after 12 noon but was never cleaned, not once!

The hotel was right in the middle of everything so it was very convenient. Unfortunately that also meant lots of road noise at all hours of the day and night. Look around town for food - quality and prices are better elsewhere. Our room was clean and comfortable, and housekeeping took good care of us.
