The hotel is walking distance to two grocery stores and a large mall. One of the grocery stores is only a block away. The price of the room was very reasonable for the quality and superior service, and it had an excellent view of the beach (be sure to ask for a room on that side if one is available).

The Hotel is very well located, close to everything: the best shopping mall, the best commercial area on Waikiki beach, just across one of the best spots the lagoon, there is a Todai buffet just across the street or purchase kitchen small bites on ABC also across the street. Regards, Walter

I made the wrong choice by selecting a room facing the city. I am not used to staying next to the main road and the road noise is affecting my sleep. The window is fixed with a single glaze and I doubt a double glazed window would help in cutting down the outside noise. If you plan to visit Hawaii,...

Although my room rate was among the lowest I have ever paid, the setting was among the best I've ever had. All in all, this was the best bargain I have experienced in 40 years of travel. We were used to having no daily maid service because we usually stay in a condo so the clean towels and garbage removal...

Have just finished 4 nights @ the WMR, on the recommendation of friends I was traveling with. As others have noted, the WMR is actually 1 tower of the Ilikai Hotel which has a troubled recent history including foreclosure. The property itself is clearly going thru a rough patch-as far as I could tell, the only functioning restaurant left on...

Everything is as pictured on the Shell Hospitality website. We were on the 16th floor on the street side. Didn't hear any noise from the other rooms and very little street noise. So much to do - didn't spend much time in the room. Was nice to come back to a ice cold beverage after a day out on the...

As a senior citizen, I found what I wanted, an inexpensive hotel, within walking distance of good not too expensive restaurants and fast food places, ABC stores, Ala Moana shopping center and busses, which got us around town to places we wanted to see. The partial ocean view and the pool next door. I found the male attendant less than...

Since the rooms were former (tiny) condos, they were each maintained independently and have very different furnishings. Some kitchenettes and bathrooms looked great while others were very old and run down. However, at $79 per night, the hotel is a good value and about 20 minutes walk from the main part of Waikiki beach. I would suggest trying to book...

We just got home from a week at the Waikiki Marina Resort. Our room was great, the location is great, and the staff is wonderful. The only thing that would keep us from returning is an increase in price. It was a great value for us. We wish we had gotten an ocean view room, however the city view was...

My first visit to Hawaii. Staff were very friendly and helpful; even after I had checked out [they stored my stuff after check-out time]. I appreciated the ethernet connection. It's also well located in downtown Honolulu and is close to many things. Clean and comfortable rooms. No complaints.
