From check in to check out we have no complaints. Everyone was always very helpful and pleasant. I have always been early to rise and find it great to be able to get an early breakfast at Happy's, or cup of coffee. Planning a trip for next year.

Just one big disappointment at Hale Koa this time – they gave away our oceanfront room. Despite booking a year in advance and having several confirmations, we were told upon arrival they had overbooked and no oceanfront rooms were available. They moved us to a great 3-room suite, and when pressed about losing our preferred room they reduced our rate...

This is a great choice for military families visiting the island. It is a good hotel with an excellent location on Oahu. The beach is on location with the bar nearby. Waikiki shopping is near along with a good mall. Diamond head is about a 10 minute drive as well as other great hikes and views within 30 minutes. We...

The first words when created by the hotel desk clerk began with "let me start by apologizing, your room has been overbooked." I had just spent the last 14+ hours traveling to a vacation destination booked 4 months in advance and the room was not available! However, they did accommodate us by putting us in the luxurious Hilton next door,...

We stayed here for the first time in march of 2014 and had a great time and completely exceeded my expectations. Just returned last night after a 10 day stay for the second time and boy what a change in the service. We were kicked out of the adult pool at 6:00 pm supposedly due to lightening, but there was...

even I couldn't spend a night day because is always hard to get available rooms. We were able to spend days at the hotel. We lived in Hawaii, so we were able to go, use the pool, the beach. We also dine in their restaurants, they are all very good. Even you can park at the hotel, validate the ticket...

The Hale Koa is anything but ordinary, the hotel is simply amazing. The lobby is open air with a beautiful courtyard below. The hotel room i stayed in had a nice view of the ocean and of the city/mountains of Oahu. The in-room decor is not the best in the world but it still is pretty good. The bathroom was...

As has been mentioned many times, the Hale Koa Resort is a military property. In order to stay here, you must meet the eligibility requirements. Now, if you do meet the requirements and you choose to stay somewhere else, you're only damaging your vacation budget. Unfortunately, we were only able to enjoy the property for three days prior to taking...

So if you are looking for a hotel and come across this one then you already know this is a military resort. So with that said, the location is great. Right by all the hustle of Waikiki, right on the beach, which is beautiful and their beach front is huge. The room was nice, we had a great view of...

We were on our honeymoon, my father got us the rooms for us. We also did the luau - very tourist-ish event, but really, I didn't care. Never been to one, and wanted to see it. To compare, we also stayed at Hilton Waikiki - and I favor the Hale Koa for sure. Front desk was friendly, our view was...
