We wanted to stay in a hotel that would be central to our favorite activities, walking, shopping and great restaurants. We have an beach front unit in the Tower with a comfortable balcony, a great spot for coffee! There are two pools, not too many chairs that are on first come basis. Chairs and umbrellas can be rented for the...

The Royal Hawaiian, aka The Pink Palace of the Pacific, established in 1927, is simply magnificent. Nestled in lush gardens, with spacious lobbies, arcades with shops (all your luxury Hawaiian and beach essentials), a spa, bars, restaurants and more. Every view is a delight and Insta worthy. A bakery opened the day we arrived - the 90th birthday of the...

We stayed in the ocean tower 4th floor which is ok except the palm trees block most of the view of the beach. Pool staff is excellent with very quick Service. We were disappointed in the morning continental breakfast and afternoon snacks which were very sparse and light, to tell you the truth it was the worst I have ever...

Stayed at the Royal Hawaiian for a 3 night stay. I thought the hotel was very central and comfortable. We were offered an upgrade to an ocean view room with a balcony for an additional US$100 per night but we knew we wouldn't be in our room a whole lot so opted to stay in the double room we had...

We've stayed at the Royal Hawaiian several times and love staying here. Location is perfect and the hotel itself is beautiful - plus it's a beachfront property! The service is always professional and the staff are so friendly. This time we had a toddler in tow, and so the lady who checked us in went out of her way to...

We had the most wonderful time during our stay at The Royal Hawaiian. Before our arrival I contacted the concierge and they were super helpful with reservations and information for our stay. It was a special birthday for my husband and they went above and beyond making his stay special. Including delivery to our room a slice of their signature...

We had a great visit. Staff very friendly and service oriented. Housekeeping outstanding. Beach staff somewhat aloof. Parking easy and convenient but pricey. Breakfasts phenomenal, dinners good. Would stay again.

Great hotel with "historic feeling" in the centre of Waikiki. The staff is great, oceanview rooms offer what they are supposed to offer, namely great views. Very good breakfast, nice Mai Tai (esp. "Trader Vic's") in hotel bar. Only disappointment: pool / jacuzzi close at sunset.

The entire staff .... from the first welcome at the front door to the concierge desk to the housekeeping staff and kitchen ( room service ) was impeccable ... what an honor to stay and I highly recommend this distinguished resort . The second oldest hotel (Moana Surfrider was first) does indeed have vintage class and charm. That said, for being in the Luxury Collection, it may need to get an upgrade and overall style review. There are some missed opportunities on serving customer better, such as the great halls where it would be nice to get drinks or coffee or tea...

“Stay in the tower that faces the beach”

“Older rooms but well maintained, plenty of clean towels (never had to ask for extras). Should have fans in every room. I stood in two different rooms over 9 days, first room had a fan and second room didn't. Definitely noticed the difference (stuffy without a fan). Ask for room with a fan, I would definitely come back again!”
