An absolutely wonderful, romantic room.... Friendliness and unparalleled service from Romana and Charles.... A delightful breakfast and great recommendations for lunch and dinner.... And then, to top it all off, when Betty left a hat behind in the room, a phone call to us back home! So it should be no surprise that this was the first of many **return**...

After spending four days, three nights at the Armistead Cottage in Newport, RI, we now realize why everyone has had such great things to say about their stay with Romana and Charles. Let's not forget Amy who was so very delightful! Located in the middle of town, and in a quiet neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of busy...

Newport was buzzing over Columbus weekend when we stayed. But Armistead Cottage was a haven in a quiet area of town very handy for the mansions and the town centre. Armistead is one half lovely property and one half a superb hostess. I don't think I can say more about Romana. Just don't try and upstage her on one line...

My wife and I visited Newport Rhode Island at the end of a 3-week trip thru MidWest/NorthEast US, and were so taken with the Armistead Cottage that we rearranged our last night in the US to enjoy an extra night here. Romana was an outstanding hostess, and we enjoyed a mutual sense of humour. We found the whole experience delightful,...

My husband and I recently spent two nights at Armistead Cottage and were so pleased! The B&B is located in a quiet residential neighborhood an easy walking distance from the waterfront area. We stayed in the "Lilac Room," a beautifully decorated, comfortable room, which was spotlessly clean. As the temperatures approached 90 degrees, we appreciated the window air conditioner. Our...

spent a couple of nights at this lovely B&B where we were 'entertained' by our host Romana. She makes this place the success it is with her quirkiness and sense of humour - great to chat to and very informative and helpful with regard to places of interest, local restaurants etc. Her home is beautifully decorated and furnished - our...

I would highly recommend Armistead Cottage bed & breakfast. The setting was beautiful, clean, and charming. My room was extremely comfortable and lovely. This B& B is only a few blocks from the town center but it felt like I was far away from the noise and tourist activity. The cottage is only a short walk from all of the...

I can't believe this B&B was available during July 4th weekend! Romana made us feel so comfortable from our first phone call. We loved her stories, her sense of humor, her carrot collection, her husband Charles, and most of all her BREAKFAST! I am a foodie and was so impressed by her 3 course serving each morning! The house was...

We cannot say enough good things about our visit to this beautiful B&B. Romana is THE BEST AND MOST FRIENDLY HOSTESS we have ever met. We have visited many B&B inns over many years and this was one we will certainly return to. The breakfasts are a delight. Romana is a fantastic decorator and the wonderful collections contained in her...
