What a wonderful stay! Romana was a wonderful hostess! Our room was beautiful, cozy and comfortable. The breakfasts were delightful and we were so happy that Romana sat and chatted during breakfast. She was helpful in every way. The location was perfect - a short 15-20 minute walk to the waterfront.

My husband and I spent a delightful two days at the Armistead Cottage. The carefully appointed rooms and delicious breakfasts aren't even the best part of our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting Romana, seeing her artwork and learning about her life. Very spacious and beautiful rooms, comfortable bed, great breakfast and charming host! Next time we hope to have the...

This was a two-night getaway for my wife and me and it was excellent! Romana made us feel like long-time friends from the moment we walked in the door. The house sits on a quiet street in a great location in Newport. Probably a 10 minute walk to Intl Tennis Hall of Fame, Audrain Auto Museum and restaurants. A delicious...

The B&B is located in a very pleasant quiet neighbourhood but is very close to the main areas. Walking from there to the main streets, wharfs, and historic areas is enjoyable and easy. It is also not too far from the southern end entrance to Cliff Walk. Romana and Charles are delightful hosts. My room was very comfortable and well...

We stayed at the Armistead Cottage from Sunday 7/17/2016 to Wednesday 7/20/2016. Our experience was a lot more than we expected. Since we both love antiques and the Victorian style of homes and decor, we found this Victorian Cottage to be just that, romantic and beautiful. Our hosts, Romana and Charles, were very welcoming and warm. Their hospitality made us...

While in Newport this past weekend, my wife and I decided to try out a bed and breakfast. We had never stayed at one in the past so we figured it would be a fun new adventure. Little did I know, it turned out to be such a great experience! Even from the initial phone call to inquire about a...

Beautiful inside and out. The furnishings and wall hangings were amazing. Nice room, very clean (which is very high up on my list for places to stay). It was very relaxing to sit on the big porch after a full day of touring. The breakfasts were delicious and the breakfast table setting was elegant. The owner, Romana, was funny, sweet,...

My boyfriend and I just spent July 4th weekend at Armistead Cottage and it was absolutely amazing. It was so clean and comfortable and Romana and Charles are incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming hosts. They helped us pick out restaurants and activities and all of their recommendations were fantastic. Staying at Armistead instead of a hotel really gives you a...

My boyfriend and I booked a last minute getaway and stumbled upon this gem of a B and B. It's proximity to all the restaurants/bars made it so convenient. It's also just blocks away from Cliff Walk and Newport's legendary mansions. Romana and her husband were so welcoming and gave us great recommendations. Our room was cozy and we felt...

The house is located in a quiet neighbourhood and has a large veranda where you can sit and relax. It is about a 15 minute walk to Newport restaurants etc through a very nice neighbourhood. The room we stayed in had everything you would expect and more--comfortable bed, sitting area, fireplace and air conditioning, and a well appointed bathroom. Charles...
