I have to admit we were just looking for a reasonable room for 1 night at the last minute and this is what I found. It wasn't very occupied but the staff was lovely and they upgraded us to a king bed room. It seems like this motel caters to people visiting their loved ones at the local military base....

Assuming you're on a budget, this motel proved a good deal in Newport. 10 minutes from downtown, clean, and straightforward, it echoes what an earlier guest indicated: it is straightforward and its basic amenities won't distract you from what you came to Newport to see -- the awesome downtown, the mansions, the Cliff Walk, etc. We had a good stay!

Needing a comfortable and reasonably priced room in Newport at the last minute, we fortunately found the Pineapple Inn. Convenient for using public transportation (we didn't have a vehicle) and cool room and comfortable bed during a hot and humid time. No frills, but not complaints either.

Last minute decision to go to Newport for the Labor day weekend left us with few choices that were under 400.00 dollars a night. Pulled into barren parking lot, not one other car to be seen. Manager/owner let us check in early, helpful with directions on the best way to get to beach and Newport area. Convenient and close to...

New owners have taken over and every room has been redone. The staff was also super friendly. A nice, clean, quiet and comfortable room at a very reasonable price for Newport, check it out ! The kids also enjoyed how close together the rooms were to ours.

Definitely stay here again during the week. Stayed over the weekend to visit friends who payed $100 more and said this place was better! Not a ton of stuff nearby but the trolley goes downtown and a bunch of restaurants are less than a mile away.

Very reasonably priced room, outside of Newport proper - a basic motel room, it was clean, the bed was comfortable. Suited our purpose - wanted to see Newport for a day and not pay a fortune for a room for the night.

Four of us stayed here while visiting Newport. We took an Uber into town to avoid trying to find parking which worked out well. Overall the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It's your standard motel so it's nothing luxurious but for a night or two it's okay.
