Phone didn’t work Tv kept going into advertising mode. Called front desk woman who answered didn’t really seem all that concerned that I had no TV or telephone said she would send someone up an hour ago. they don’t even have complementary coffee, they have the air condition running in the lobby. It’s 20° outside expensive nobody around to take my order for breakfast. My key didn’t work and I went front desk and the woman was FaceTime in with her boyfriend, and acted like I was interrupting her. for over $100 you can’t even offer a cup of coffee you have to be a member of a club to have a complementary breakfast. I only good thing is the Room was kind of cool. I mean that’s the only good thing I won’t be back I’ll stay at Hampton in Where. I get a full breakfast a I want to eat for the same price.

It's saddening that your stay fell short of expectations. We regret any troubles you faced during your stay including the issues with the in-room amenities like the television and the phone. The lack of immediate resolution from our team members is surprising and we'll certainly take this concern to heart. We wish to clarify that breakfast inclusion and certain complimentary offerings are indeed tied to specific loyalty programs. Arrived at reception, they had no idea of our booking. Whick had been booked a month are two in advance. After a lot of time waiting we eventually got to our room. The staff are unfriendly and over worked and not enough of waiters. Had breakfast but had to wait a very long time. It was ok, very cold. The rooms were not cleaned unkess, you asked.

Marriott Springfield The bartenders and wait staff were all fabulous. That is where the good ends. Our room was never cleaned, even though we requested it every day. The front desk staff did not put parking on my room key and I had to sit at the exit gate for 20 minutes waiting for someone to let me out. They overcharged us and it took 10 days to come off our credit card. They messed up the billing and we did not get our 9 nights towards nights stayed. The M lounge rarely had anything in it, and when did restock everything was gone in minutes. In a location close to restaurants and museums. I hope they can train the front desk staff though, they really did make a mess of our stay.

Overall great stay. We only stayed one night for a trip to basketball hall of fame. The hotel was very modern and clean. The room was comfortable and clean. No microwave in room. The door to the bathroom was a cute sliding barn door but doesn’t allow much privacy. Parking was easy. We thought breakfast was included but guess it wasn’t as we were told it was $18 a person. Only real con here as there was never any towels at the pool and when we called housekeeping no one ever came so we had to walk back upstairs soaking wet.

However, we acknowledge your concern about the door not offering much privacy. Arrived to find the bed linens disheveled, pillows moved, and remote in middle of the bed. Tipped housekeeping to change the linens and wipe down remote. Soon realized there were no face towels and no toiletries like lotion. The sink was wet and bar soap open. Front desk insisted room had not been used. Hotel employee walked in unannounced without knocking first. Noticed spills at coffee area. Later, got into shower and discovered body wash dispenser was completely empty. The next day is when I discovered there was an iron but no ironing board so I used a towel and the bottom of the bed. Service: Passed on both breakfast and evening appetizers in M Club each day. Food was low quality. Loved that they had chips, peanuts and boxed water though. Ordered breakfast at restaurant daily. Service was very good and cooked perfectly. Dinner at the restaurant was disappointing though. Gourmet grilled cheese on mini burger buns? Bland, dry, and too doughy. Caesar salad unhinged? Execution failed. Neither was eaten. Tomato soup contained an unmentioned ingredient - maybe sour cream? Didn't eat it either. Not tasty. The consistency of the chowder was off (too much oil/fat residue) but it was full of clam and therefore edible. Service was attentive and friendly at the restaurant but hit or miss with the front desk team. Received a complimentary breakfast voucher one morning but told to use M Club another morning. Eventually got it straightened out. All to say, the overall experience was average but the best attritubute of this stay was the location and more specifically, the view it afforded of the Memoral Bridge 4th of July fireworks.

Their staff is amazing! The hotel is beautiful. We enjoyed all the candy in the M Club way too much. Their breakfast offerings were great, but I'm told they usually have more options in the evenings than what we had, but it was OK. Of all the great things about this place the super helpful knowledgeable staff takes the cake. The lady who checked me in was so nice and shared some good information as this was our first time in the area. The room was beautiful, with a great view of of the Connecticut River. I usually hate rooms near the street because of traffic noise, but this room was very quiet. The location was good. I was a little walk to get to more of the action.

I am having trouble deciding what to rate this hotel because my actual stay was nice but it is my experience on the phone today that was appalling. Let me start with the positives. The woman who checked my in was friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and modern and the bedding and pillows were incredible! I asked for a restaurant recommendation and the front desk person was again helpful and friendly. This was clearly not the same person who answered my call today. When I checked in, I was told that I could use my room key to scan out of the parking garage. Simple enough, or so I thought. When I went to leave, my room key would not work. I tried hitting the call for help button and nobody answered. I was in a rush, had to get to work and there were cars behind me so I paid with my credit card, thinking Marriott would then take the charge off my folio. Boy was I wrong. I called today to explain the situation and a curt woman responded that it was my fault because I went through the daily parking gate (1 and 2) and was supposed to go through or 4. I explained to her that this was never communicated to me and her response was 'well it should have been, you can call the company that runs the garage but they probably won't do anything because you went out the wrong gate. I explained that I was a loyal Bonvoy member and would think that rather than suggesting I call the parking garage company, the would just credit the parking back on my folio. Her response was 'well we won't' At this point I aske d for her name. She said it was Julia. This is not the same name she gave me at the start of the call. I believe it started with an S. I told her that wasn't the name she gave me at the start of the call and she said 'is there anything else I can help you with' I advised I would like the folio credited for the parking and she said there is nothing else I can help with and ended the call. This interaction was so off brand for a Marriott property where customer service is typically exemplary. I don't want to diminish the friendly folks I encountered during my stay or the overall appeal of the hotel so I won't let this bias my review overall but want to be sure the property is aware of this. I did try calling back moments after this call but my call went unanswered. Could have been a coincidence but I suspect not.

Marriott is our hotel chain of choice, and I have stayed in many of them. There is a lot of room for improvement here. Our room seemed to be missing at least one piece of furniture and maybe two: there was no luggage rack and no small table. There was not a full complement of towels in the room when we checked in - no washcloths, no hand towels, and two instead of three bath towels. During check-in we said we would be parking in the garage. When we went out later in the day, our keycard didn't open the exit gate. I phoned the hotel, they said they were having some problems with the room keycards working in the garage and opened the gate for us - nothing else asked or offered. The keycard didn't work the next time we went to leave either, so I called again. That time I was asked which exit lane we were in - we were in lane 2 and I was told we needed to use lane 3 or 4. After we returned I went to the front desk to ask why they don't tell people how to exit the garage when they say at check-in they will be using it. I was told that that information is given when guests CHECK-OUT, not when they check-in. I guess they figure people will park and not use their car, no matter how long they stay. That is, pardon my frankness, just stupid. Although none of this that bad, I gave it two stars becausue it is below the "average" full-service Marriotts in which I have stayed. I realize the management will respond with a stock answer about being grateful for the feedback, disappointed that they did not meet my expectations, and pledging to do better. Don't hold your breathe. At least people who read this will know how they should exit the garage when they come and go during their stay.

Firstly, our team apologizes for the missing furniture elements in your room and the inadequate supply of towels provided. Such an oversight is highly unusual, and the management will ensure that measures are in place to prevent this from happening in the future. It appears that there was a communication breakdown, and guests should indeed be informed of the appropriate exit lanes upon check-in, not only at check-out. The amenities in the room were nice...... the lack of staff sucked. No one seemed to know whether I should park and then check-in, or check-in and then park. Requested early check-in, yet room wasn't ready until 4:30. Ate at Bridge 22 (the hotel's restaurant) and had to wait 20-30 minutes each time for a waitress to come around and then we had to track her down to get our check so we could leave 2 hours later. Worst of all, I sleep poorly in a warm room, and the temperature would not go below 68 despite a visit from a maintenance man (after a 2 hour wait) and his assurance that he had reset the system and it would now cool to 63 degrees. 24 hours after his assurance, the thermostat has been set constantly to 63 and the room is still 68. After requesting maintenance again at 8pm on night 2, I was told at 8:30 "he's on his way." At 9:30, I requested an ETA and was told he had been sent up "10 minutes ago." At 10:15, I was told "I am very sorry but the maintenance was sent up a few hours ago. I am very disappointed myself that he went home for the night and did not assist you. I AM TERRABLE SORRY!!!!" WHAT?!?!?! When I asked for corporate's phone no., they sent up a man to my room at 10:35 pm and he starts telling me that the 68 degrees is plenty cool enough for him and I am fine. I explained I don't sleep well unless the room is cooler, and he finally admitted the thermostat won't go any lower. He then proceeds to complain to ME that maintenance doesn't do their job and that he has had to go and do their work orders for them and he doesn't appreciate it. I asked him if he was really complaining to me about doing his job when I wanted to be in bed two hours ago and just wanted a cooler room. He backpedaled and said there was nothing that he or maintenance could do for me; the hotel is at capacity and there are no other rooms to offer me (I had not asked for another room; if they are all throttled to 68 degrees, what does a change of room do for me??). He was not helpful and his dismissal attitude just made me upset. In addition, the light behind the TV blinks on and off if you try to use it. I showed it to the man that arrived in my room and his response was "wow, that's annoying." He did not offer to fix it or even put in a work order for repair after my departure. If there were available rooms in the area, I would leave this minute.

Cannot accommodate pick up trucks or large SUVs in their garage. They have you park at the Sheraton who charges $48.00 per night what a scam. Stay at the Sheraton and it's $20 per night. MY room wasn't ready at Check In and the temperature NEVER got below 80 degrees during my two night stay despite asking to have this fixed on three occasions. NO manager on duty, nobody in maintenance. Worst run Hotel I have ever had the displeasure of staying in. Cancelling my Marriot Bonvoy Account as I will not need it moving forward.
