The Buckeye Tree Lodge is located 1/4 mile from the entrance to Sequoia National Park in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. With all rooms set along the banks of the Kaweah River, the river views and sounds from each room and balcony are spectacular. The Buckeye's beautiful grounds include a pool, lawn and picnic area next to the River. All rooms have private bathroom, cable TV, refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, super quiet and powerful AC/Heat, free wifi internet and free local and long distance calling. The River House at Buckeye also features a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom rental house with stunning river and mountain views, two elevated decks over the river, a full living room with 60" flat screen, dining room and incredible kitchen.

Not sure how this properly managed to score 4.5 stars and land as the #1 hotel in this area. Old and dirty. One of the decorative pillows on the top left bunk had a visibly dirty white stain. Every time I called the office it went to voicemail. Look at the picture and judge for yourself.

Wanting to get close to Sequoia National Park thus we selected Buckeye Tree Lodge. We loved it! Right at the entrance to the Park (1/4 mile) with a wonderful stream/river behind the building creating a wonderful background noise. Rooms were small but clean and well maintained. Factor in the back patio/deck and it was plenty for us. Ice machine was nice too. Restaurant next door was awesome and stores and shops within a short drive.

Wonderful property. This is not the newest or perfect property, but it is authentic and beautifully located. It rests along the edge of the river with outdoor seating. The owner personally toured me around the property. The rooms were clean and tidy and the location was quiet, except for the beautiful rush of the river. There is a restaurant next door in this quiet end of Three Rivers. I can see why people make it a point to always stay here on their way through town on their way to the Park.

Very friendly and hospitable staff! I was not a guest of the hotel but was passing by with a flat tire. I relayed my problem to an employee and she responded with a smile and can-do attitude that a maintenance person had an air pump. Within minutes, the maintenance person filled my tire and I was back on the road. I was also able to use the free wi-fi to get redirected on where I needed to go which was also a great help! I was so appreciative of their willingness to help and will definitely consider a stay on my next trip to the area!

We had a great stay at Buckeye Tree Lodge, even with the fires going on in CA and park entrance being closed on the side of Three rivers, we had a wonderful time. Amazing customer service and we would love to come back any time. Rooms are clean and love the decor.
