If you've finally got it together enough to take a trip to Santa Fe and you're now freaking out at the prices of accommodation .. I would highly recommend you think about staying here. If you're like me, then you wanted to stay in a place with the traditional Santa Fe architecture .. but when you realise it will cost...

To start out, I have stayed here several times before when I travel alone, So I know what I signed up for. It is a basic motel room, easy checking/out, walking distance to the Plaza, clean, adequate wifi, quiet for the most part, ample parking for $8,good shower, large vanity area,in room coffee service at a great price. On the flip side, the bed linens and pillows...

The location is nice, and the exterior and the lobby are not bad, but this room is gross and smells. The loud motors out on alameda aren't being drowned out by the humming of the air unit either. Ambien better kick in soon.

Garrett's Desert Inn is really one of those places where what you see is what you get. It is simple, clean lodging in a great location within walking distance of downtown Santa Fe. Yes, they now charge for parking but a reasonable $8/day. The staff is friendly and helpful. It really fulfills our needs for lodging.

This is a great location, right off the Plaza area so things are in walking distance. The restaurant, Santa Fe Bites, is very good too. The rooms are a bit dated but clean and the dressing area has character and great hanging space. The big complaint was having to pay for parking in addition the room rate. I wasn't expecting...

Do. Not. Stay. Here. Yes its run down, but I don't mind that. What I DO mind is that it's DIRTY...as in the bathroom counter is covered in black hairs and gawd knows what else. When I called the desk and complained, they offered to move us but when I went and looked at that room it was dirty too....

2 day stay. Location is a "5" - very close to downtown area. Service is a "5" ' - guy didn't even blink when I checked in at 11AM. Room was clean, bed comfortable and not dated - that's at least a "3": and in my book, good enough for a "4" by me (I'm easy). If you're into stuffy...

We wanted to be near the Plaza in the center of old Santa Fe. We spied Garrett's Desert Inn on a corner. Its New Mexico architecture attracted us, as did the location. The rooms are large but somewhat out-dated. Tiny bathroom and dated furniture. That was reflected in the relatively reasonable price. Would we stay there again? Possibly, but I...

Great price for this cozy motel, especially considering the location being easily walkable to the plaza and canyon road. One block from Loretto Chapel. Parking is $8 but anywhere downtown has parking fees. I would definately stay here again.

When most people take the time to write a review, it is because they feel the need to complain about a place. I am sort of an odd duck; I prefer to give people both the good and bad.. This place is the cheapest hotel near the Plaza; and sadly it shows. And as someone else stated; I was not...
