"Spend a night, not a fortune" is their motto. This is basic motel-style accommodations. It reminded me of road trips I did with my parents in the 60's. Based on feedback from others we sprung for the slightly more expensive King Room. It came with a small fridge, a TV, and a clock on the nightstand. Wi-Fi was included and...

A co worker who has a home on San Juan recommended this place to me. My grandma & I stayed for 2 nights in one of their small rooms, billed as the smallest rooms in the state. Even still, we were quite comfortable. There was AC, a fridge & microwave. Bed was comfy & triple sheeted. Room was tidy. Yes,...

I booked a room here for my husband who was in need of a place close to the airport. He showed up at 10:15 and no one was there. There was a 24 hour number to call and no one answered. After calling several more times and waiting for an hour he walked down the road to another hotel. When...

No frills sleeping arrangements. One of the locals called it the cubes for the size of the rooms. If you are looking for a place to sleep and not much more, the price is right. The bed was comfortable, room was clean, everything worked. It had a frig which others do not. We were visiting the island to hike, kayak,...

Very tiny room--even smaller than a cruise ship room. but the staff were nice and very helpful. Location is good, easy walking distance to everything in town. And price is good. Air conditioner was a bit noisy. Has a small refrigerator and microwave.

Very clean, very comfortable...but also kinda quirky. The only reason why I rated this property 4 instead of 5stars was because you need to be aware of what you are getting here. Originally a barracks for workers in Alaska, these are more like dorm rooms than hotel --or even motel-- rooms. We stayed in the double queen which was two...

After 5 days of camping, this little Inn was the perfect place to de-campify. Hot showers, clean air-conditioned rooms, comfy beds, very friendly and helpful staff!! The rooms are small but we saved $$ and spent it on a great dinner out. We would stay here again.

This hotel room is small, very small. The bed had no head board because it was in the middle of the room as it was the only place it would fit. You couldn't open the bathroom door all the way because the bed got in the way. The shower door wouldn't close properly because the door was an odd plastic...

First let me say something about Friday Harbor itself: wonderful place with gorgeous scenery but most of all, the people who live there are helpful, friendly and warm! Beautiful place with beautiful, kind-hearted people. I think Orca Inn is a great little hotel. It has ample parking. True, there are no stunning views from the hotel, but if you are...

The Orca Inn was so much less expensive than other San Juan Island lodgings that it was an easy choice for us. We didn't expect a lot, so we were pleasantly surprised. The king-bed room (with a roll-away that we didn't use had all the essentials, including TWO air conditioners that quickly cooled the room, mini-fridge, microwave and flat-screen TV....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Spend a night...Not a fortune! It's really simple: Smaller Rooms = Smaller Rates. At The Orca Inn, we are proud to offer the smallest rooms in the state of Washington! Which means we have the lowest hotel room rates on San Juan Island. (Of course, for just a few dollars more, we have larger King and Double Queen rooms). With the money you save, you can spend more on amazing whale watching tours, incredible kayak trips, and other island adventures that you will remember for a lifetime. As Mr. Carson once said, "The business of life is the acquisition of memories." And at the Orca Inn, business is good! ... more   less
