My husband and I recently stayed here for my brother's wedding. They were less expensive than the hotel where my brother's wedding was being held. We really loved the free breakfast which not other downtown hotels do not offer. Also being really close to the Riverwalk is a plus. The one minor issue was the room was a little small.

There is a distinct difference between old world charm and JUST PLAIN OLD. This wonderful hotel has a very beautiful old world charm. From the plumbing fixtures, which reminded me of my youth...I am 77, to the beautiful furniture in the room and the lighting of the room itself. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The area...

Stayed here over spring break 2015. Just off the Riverwalk, easy to walk to and from. Quaint little hotel. Staff was polite and helpful. Our room had a jacuzzi tub that didn't work and they moved us the next morning to a new room where everything worked great! Free breakfast. Would definitely stay here again. As a Choice Privledges member,...

It's an older building and not very modernly appointed but it is somewhat charming for that reason. Our lovely desk person Adriin was outstanding. Very thoughtful, great suggestions on what to do and amazingly sweet. That made our stay extra special. It's great location just south of the river walk by 1 block. Right next to La Villita which was...

We recently just stayed at the O' Brien and loved it. The staff was very friendly and super helpful. The breakfast was basic, but with a good taste! We loved being able to walk everywhere in a heartbeat. We had two kids 10 and 5 and wanted a hotel we could easily come back to if needed. We were on...

We stayed for two nights at the O'Brien Hotel and very much enjoyed our time as guests. Clean and basic rooms and a great breakfast in the morning served in the reception area. I must mention the Waffle Maker which was really cool - and the waffles are super tasty. I now want one of those machines for my house!...

Excellent clean well appointed accommodations. Adriin the manager was extremely pleasant always greeting us with a friendly smile and very helpful in providing local information. The breakfast choices were broad ranging from hot waffles, eggs, meats, potatoes to cold cereal, fruit, yogurt, bread bagel selections and everything I partook of proved to be very tasty! Parking was handy and the...

The hotel has been updated and overall our 1 night stay was fine. If I had to spend more than 1 night I would consider more modern facilities. It is 1-2 blocks from the Riverwalk, Art Museum, and restaurants. The Alamo is just a short stroll along Riverwalk so we found the location to be great. Parking was an extra...

Their balcony attached to the room was a special treat to wind down at. the rooms were clean and bathroom was nice. I enjoyed the staff, always greeted and helpful. The hotel itself is just a block from the river walk, and walking distance to the Alamo.

Our first trip to San Antonio so we weren't sure of best locations. We usually stay at chain midline hotels (Hampton Inns, Fairfield) but I am glad that we branched out here. The immediate area is not particularly beautiful or touristy but felt safe even at night. The O'Brien is an easy block or so walk to the Riverwalk. It...
