This is my “go-to” Hotel in San Antonio. Staff is excellent & Rooms are well appointed and very clean and comfortable. Try to get a Riverwalk view with balcony. The Bar “El Collegio” is quaint and quiet. I love having a cocktail here and ordering a light lunch or dinner. The location is great and you can feel comfortable and safe in this area of downtown
We have stayed at this hotel before and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We came back on vacation for a quick overnight stay. What a wonderful surprise when we walked in our room and there was champagne and chocolates waiting for us! It was a gift from the hotel staff wishing us a happy anniversary. Everyone had even signed the card! We will always stay the Omni La Mansion Del Rio when in San Antonio. Fabulous service, great accommodations, wonderful atmosphere right on the Riverwalk.
This hotel is an absolute dream. Our room had 2 balconies! It was not facing the riverwalk, but still had great views of the courtyard and street, carriages going by all the time. Easy access to the riverwalk, restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. I was there for business, and the meals were amazing! The best part was the staff! They are always going out of their way to open doors for you and help you in any way that you need!
The room was too warm the first 🌙....and the beds were not what I am accustomed to at an Omni..uncomfortable...the mattress must just be older....otherwise the place was located well along the river walk....and we were pleased. The ambiance wad on point.
This hotel was excellent. The location was perfect for walking the riverwalk which is lined with shops and restaurants. We went to a concert at majestic theater and that was also walking distance. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We ate breakfast in the am at their 4 brothers restaurant. The wait staff was great! The coffee delish. Our room was facing the courtyard. Very quiet. Very clean. If you decline housekeeping service they donate a meal to local shelter. My husband and I didn't use the pool so I can't say anything about that. The hotel is around a 15/20 minute uber ride to airport. We would definitely stay again if we came to San Antonio!
A four hundred/night room gets you a room with no windows. The room entered off an outdoor passageway and the doors were French doors, but who would leave the curtain open when it looks out onto a public thoroughfare? So the room felt like a cave. We were extremely disappointed. The room size was adequate. The bathroom was fine, and I loved the tangerine Nest bath products, but housekeeping did not refill the soap and lotion. Again—spending $400/night! The coffee maker was in a cabinet not near the water supply and hard to maneuver since it was in a cabinet. We picked this hotel because of its proximity to the Riverwalk, but the room we were in was not near the Riverwalk. Parking was $50/night. And no Wi-Fi. I could overlook all that—but $400/night for a windowless room was awful. …
We returned to this lovely hotel after several years and were so very happy we did. The staff is incredibly pleasant and friendly from the welcoming front desk to the valets to the terrifically helpful concierges and Turner in Colegio coffee shop/bar and server at the restaurant for for lunch (which is terrific!). Housekeeping and maintenance do an amazing job keeping the rooms and property immaculate. The location on the Riverwalk is perfect for everything. We highly recommend this place especially if you have a balcony room! Quite a lovely experience for sure. Thank you for our special service!
This hotel is quite bad. The problems started on arrival: my luggage was delivered to the wrong room and took quite some time to retrieve. Then I was awoken the next morning early with a room service order that I didn't place. Most significantly, the hotel wireless is essentially non-functional and created repeated problems in trying to get work done, including significant loss of work. The staff was generally non-helpful.
Anniversary weekend staycation. It was our second visit. The staff was great, the weekend weather was perfect and the other guests were awesome to hang out with at the pool. We checked in and discovered that our room had been upgraded, which was a nice surprise! First floor, just down the hallway from the pool. We visited the on property restaurant twice. The food was good and there was plenty of it. We experienced nothing but a relaxing weekend; no stress, no issues.
Came here for a conference and the hotel is very quaint and is in a great location downtown. Rooms are very well appointed, comfortable beds and a nice but slightly small bathroom. Staff is very courteous and attentive. I would have given the last star/circle if I could have been able to get my room cooler for sleep. Even setting the thermostat to a lower degree it was never able to get below 70 degrees and that was too warm for my comfort.
