This Hampton sits right on the River Walk. Very convenient. The staff here is so kind and accommodating. With so much construction downtown right now it was awesome to have people with enough knowledge to give you alternate routes and shortcuts. Much love to Zula at the front desk for going the extra mile!
Why you would want to stay here: I visited in the midst of the summer with my family and I received outstanding customer service to begin with, specially from one of the desk officers, Will. Anything I requested the answer was yes and how soon do you need it. In he middle of COVID this hotel has high cleanliness standards. Someone is always vacuuming or disinfecting and there are wipes and hand sanitizer everywhere so that you can clean yourself or after yourself. There are motion sensor water fountains and all the free coffee and water you may want, sometimes there are even free cookies. I requested clean towels everyday and enjoyed a free breakfast. The breakfast is hit or miss since it sometime includes artificial eggs that do not taste food. However, there are other options such as fruit, yogurt and waffles. The hotel also offers ATM machine access, valet parking for $39 a day, laundry services, gym and a small pool, computer with printers access, a great selection of TV channels, and the location is unbeatable. All the main attractions, restaurants and bars , are a 2-5 minute walk. Valet parking is not necessary since you may park your own car across the street and pay a little less. Things to improve: enforce masks in common areas, and people’s limits in elevators. Will I stay here again, for the price, location, and services, you bet!…
Had a great experience. Devon at the front desk was super professional, helpful, and courteous. Location is close to our venue and is always clean and organized. Staff is friendly and polite. Pool when open is always clean.
You ever had the feeling like someone was watching you? Well here’s your place. I felt uncomfortable at times. The Wi-Fi wasn’t working in the morning even though I paid for it. And the housekeepers were vacuuming load outside my room in the morning.
Front desk girl at check in unwelcoming, rude. Small room.dirty towels. Parking very overpriced. $32!! Per night!! Good location first time staying in a Hampton by Hilton. Never staying again. Horrible
I reserved for a room for October 31st on the 30th and later that day I cancelled the reservation because I didn’t plan on going any more and didn’t go and the cancellation never went through and now they can’t even give me a refund for it so now I didn’t even go and I still lost my money, like thanks.
The service here is amazing, I travel a lot and have stayed in many hotels this year. But this one here, let me tell you, thanks to Lequisha this stay has been the most memorable. Not only was she super warm and welcoming, she had some really awesome recommendations.
I am in town visiting for the Texas municipal league 2022. This review is for Laquisha at the Hampton inn San Antonio, downtown Riverwalk. She had outstanding customer service and went above and beyond for me and my boyfriend. thank you so much!!!
This was the MOST DISGUSTING hotel room, or should I say MOTEL I have ever been in! This is the worst Hampton Inn I’ve staying in and I actually would make Hampton Inn my “go to” hotel, but this soured me and I may have to go elsewhere for hotel use in the future. The linen in the hotel was a hit or miss with either being unclean or dingy; I had to continuously ask for more towels/wash clothes to weed through clean vs dirty. The first day I arrived, there were no wash clothes in the bathroom. The room was half vacuumed, along with the bathroom that was nasty and half cleaned, I went to the store and bought cleaning materials to clean the entire bathroom myself since housekeeping couldn’t do their job. The quality of the stay due to the nastiness brought down wanting to even stay in the room. The bed and pillows weren’t much better. The bed was hard like sleeping on cardboard while the pillows were so soft it was difficult to sleep soundly. This hotel should have the staff retrained or just trained at how to clean bathrooms/sheets/towels. Hotel towels/sheets SHOULD NOT be dingy while bathrooms/rooms should be cleaned properly. A guest should not have hair all around the bathroom and the bathroom floor just dirty. Though this place offered breakfast, I wouldn’t eat here if I was paid. Had the other hotels in the area not been so expensive I would have switched hotels quickly. Also, the area around the hotel is a bit questionable...If you drive, for $30/nt you can park inside the gated parking lot and can come/go as you please. If you want to walk to the Riverwalk it's not far,but be careful if you are walking after the sun goes down as there are homeless people near-by. …
This was an unplanned stay but upon arrival we came in looking for a room for 4 nights. The desk clerk Devon was so apologetic that he didn’t have a room available but he would help us search for one..minutes later Jr the night housekeeper walks up and greeted us so professional and friendly. He ask if we was visiting and we said yea and than he says to Devon, I can check the room to see if the carpet is dry and the room smells ok and it will be available..sure enough Jr came back and said it’s clean and ready if you all want it..WE SCORED! Jr and Devon saved us from an nightmare of looking for a hotel at 830pm! They both deserved 5 Stars!! Our stay was awesome, comfortable, clean, quiet and in the right spot!
