Worst service I have ever received at a Fairfield INN. We stayed two days and no house keeping at all. We had to get some pool towels so we would have towels after showers in our room. In the pool area one evening and around 10:50PM an employee from hotel came opened door and very nasty yelled everyone out at 11pm and take all your stuff with you. Wow. He then told two other people in pool area they could stay another hour. Very very poor service .
This hotel was clean, spacious and very convenient to the Alamo and Riverwalk. The clerk was nice and helpful, and beds super comfortable. The breakfast was the best we have had in several years, with all kinds of choices. Parking was reasonable, since it seems as if all of the hotels in that area charge for parking. The overall price was great for all that this hotel offered.
Fairfield inn & suites is usually an affordable family brand of Marriott. Comfortable stay, but could be more updated Located in downtown San Antonio, 10 min walk from the Alamo and Riverwalk. Parking can be a pain, but there is a bit of street parking that works (otherwise it's an expensive parking fee). Small but serviceable lobby, and only a few short floors so you won't really have much of a view (and honestly, it would just be parking lots and freeways). Check-in went well, quick and efficient. The hotel was relatively busy when we went with families (or school groups?), but not rowdy which is always good. Rooms are a bit on the small side and could be updated. Window is also relatively small so rooms a bit dim. Bathroom also not the most spacious or updated, but standard farifield fare. TV channels work and internet speed is decent, so no issues with the amenities at least. Come here for a close, decent stay…
This hotel in a great location for The Alamo and Riverwalks but we stayed a Friday and Saturday night and the noise from the nightclub across the street was so loud, we could hear this until after 2am. Even with earplugs it could be heard. Also cars racing and screeching tyres. So ok if you are out partying too but not when you have a long drive the next day. Hotel nice and staff friendly.
This property is a Valet parking property with in/out privileges. Valet was cordial and responded promptly. Front desk was attentive and quick as well. Our rooms were available early so we were allowed to drop off our luggage in the room and head right on over to our conference. Room was comfortable and breakfast was suffice. Did not partake of the outdoor pool but it looked clean and refreshing with families partaking of its availability. There is a bar in the adjacent/connected Marriott property, that too I was not able to experience but it looked to be of ample space.
Conveniently located near the Alamo and then the river walk but priced better. Adjacent to a springhill suites with a great happy hour. Plenty of parking but it’s $30 per day valet. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Complimentary breakfast is good for the brand.
The staff were friendly and courteous. The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is only a short walk to the Alamo. In addition, the Riverwalk, a mall, and downtown are within walking distance to the hotel which is good as they only have valet parking available. The area seemed safe relative to any larger city. The Riverwalk was very nice and has a lot of different restaurants. The only issue we had with the hotel was that the bathtub shower was very, very slippery, so be careful when taking a shower.
this hotel its about a block from a homeless facility ,5 minutes from the Riverwalk, very scary walk with homeless people all around, we felt very unsafe, the last night we were there a helicopter was looking for someone, the next day cops were at the hotel , be carful if you use the valet parking when we got our car back the heat was full blast we think it was used at night by some one, found a net of hair on top of the bed cover, will never go to this place again.
We liked the location because of the walking distance to the riverwalk, The Alamo, Shops, etc. The rooms were in great condition as well as the pool and the gym. Staff was great and friendly. The only bad thing was breakfast. The food was ok, not great, but ok. However they use disposable plates and utensils, which I think it is so irresponsible to have single use plates when we should all try to avoid them. :( We washed ours and reuse them. But I think it is terrible the amount of trash the hotel is accountable of. The city should fine them.
Not a safe neighborhood, Aggressive homeless people on the streets and even lying on the 2 benches inside the hotel at the front door. We will not stay there again. Very loud bar across the street!! Unable to go to sleep till about 1-2 am. Very loud jacked up vehicles speeding around the hotel. We felt uncomfortable valeting our car in the neighborhood in fear it would be damaged, it was $27 a day. No room services, limited towels, but they would bring more to your room. Staff are very nice. Please be careful at night. It's not safe on the streets and they need security at the door.
