I am from a small Historic Town and when I saw the Fairmount on line I had to stay there. I must start by saying I would stay there again and I hope by adding my review it will help them to make my stay better. I loved the old historic smell. The unevenness of the floors under my feet...

Who doesn't love an old well kept hotel? It's has beautiful Victorian furniture. It reminded me of the movie the Haunted Mansion! It was romantic and unique I loved how the hotel had lots twist and turns when it came to the layout, each floor was different. It was affordable and had an amazing location and view.

The Fairmount Hotel is a quaint, spacious historic hotel right near the La Villita access to the Riverwalk. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The rooms and hallways are huge and period decorated. However the accommodations are in need of some TLC. The bathroom wallpaper was worn through in many locations. The curved shower rail was loose. The shower...

I booked this hotel for its great location and a fab price I found online. It's reviews looked OK. The first thing you should know about this hotel is that it's got protected status as a historic building. I wasn't expecting a modern hotel room. The decor was matched to its period along with the furniture. It was quirky. It...

I was there a August for a conference with a Co- worker our boss paid for the hotel. It has a nice vintage appeal to it that i could see being popular among certain crowds, our room was clean contrary to previous reviews. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Overall it could use a little facelift, but hopefully without...

A group of us were there for a conference in July and had a blast. The hotel is full of antiques and each room is decorated differently. Ours had a hardwood floor which felt great on the feet after being in the heat for a while. Every night when we came back in the gentleman at the desk remembered our...

Traveling for a conference, was within walking distant to the convention center. Loved all of the antiques. Very nice, quiet, and relaxing. Only thing that we did not expect was a few stairs to get to our room, was not a problem except with our luggage. They have an elevator to take you from floor to floor but then there...

We were there in mid-June for a convention. We got a great standard queen deluxe room on a corner that was ornate and charming and good-sized. The decor and furniture were gorgeous, and I'm usually not a fan of that old-fashioned look. Free coffee, oranges and cookies in the morning. Front desk was hit or miss depending on who was...

This is where I love to stay when in San Antonio, TX. It's walking distance to the river walk and numorous restaurants. The rooms are spotless and the decor is as close to original as it can be. This is a historical hotel with a quaint, tiled, patio downstairs and an upstairs sundeck to overlook the busy city. The rooms...

Loved the location and all the vases, furniture and other accessories. Our room was unique with its own balcony. We had a double bed, comfortable arm chairs, a desk and chair. The decor made us feel like we were visiting a 1920's mansion and the furnishings were adequate for our needs though a couple of drawers in the closet or...
