I have stayed at this hotel for the last eight years. It has been under construction /remodeling for the last year. I have stayed at the hotel during this remodeling time and it has been fine. This time it was awful construction noises after 11:00 etc. Would not recommended because when I spoke to manager there was no "I'm sorry and I will look into this for you." Extremely disappointing!
No complaints, friendly staff, clean renovated property, PET FRIENDLY, we are definitely returning. We are regular customers of THIS location in particular. I would easily recommend to family and friends.
This property is under renovation. No problem and it will be very nice upon completion as our room was. Prices seem to reflect the reno. But (1) They must have kept the old air conditioning units as there is no way to run the fan constantly so the loud unit turns on and off constantly. This, for me, is a deal breaker for the future. (2) Wifi is 2-3 Mbps in room. Almost useless. (3) Breakfast is in a meeting room which is not under renovation during our stay but the room is a mess and the desk clerk who has been there all night tries to handle the breakfast resupply, clean up, etc. No way possible. Quality of all of it? Totally unpleasant; don’t bother and go get coffee that tastes like coffee somewhere else.
Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Location was right off highway, easy on in the morning to 281. Looking forward to seeing how it is next year on our S TX journey. Parking lot well lit and just across street from Bar and Grill. Plus Costco right next door!
Roaches, Cleaning Service to rooms only every 3 days, Hotel is in the middle of a remodel, understaffed (1 person on staff at any given time) in the hotel to address any and all issues, main lobby under full construction (concrete slab floor), dusty and dirty, staff was unable to turn off standard smoke detector in room for days causing people on the floor to hear this in their rooms. This is a franchised business (which I didn't know) and the owners appear to be in severe financial hardship. None of the issues was mentioned to me upon making the reservation. Traveler beware.
Large renovation was in progress when we stayed, which is understandable. However the newly remodeled room did not look professionally done. Like a bad DIY. Lipstick on a pig comes to mind. The breakfast serving area looked dirty and unmaintained. Not what we've experienced in the past when staying at other LaQuintas.
We were astounded when we walked into the lobby of the hotel. It was down to sheetrock (with holes in the walls) and concrete floors with construction dust everywhere. There were lifts, tools, materials, etc. in the lobby area. Breakfast was served in a nearby meeting room. We were there for a patient in the nearby hospital so we didn't have time to deal with moving to a different hotel. If we had been there for enjoyment, we would have walked out and looked for other accommodations. The staff was friendly and efficient. We were not offered any discount on the normal prices.
please advise that the hotel is under renovations. I was very dissapointed when I got to the lobby and I was a completely mess; dust everywhere, employees making all kind of noise with tools, etc. very dissapointed.
Inn undergoing renovation so you need to look past the construction aspects..arrived late and left early so cannot rate breakfast. However after almost 24 hours on a plane or in transit all I was looking for is a comfortable bed and they did not disappoint. Remodeled room was spacious, comfortable and the bed was great.
Hotel is under remodel so it is a mess, but we had a "new" room. Room was nice and fresh. New A/C made a vibrating noise when compressor kicked on making it very distracting and hard to sleep. NO DRAWERS are provided. Your supposed to put your things on the shelves under the microwave. Bed is ok, but not great. Room just did not feel comfortable. Front desk staff is like talking to rocks. No personality, hard to verbally understand, and if you ask a question, they cannot evidently understand you very well because they look at you with blank stares. Typical cold style breakfast... nothing special. Good price, but would not stay there again.
