We have travel from coast to coast and this hotel is one of the worst we have ever stayed at. Outdated, dirty rooms. Creepy and did not sleep well on the rock hard beds. No security with only a lock on the door knob.

Yes, if you like to walk it's probably 20 minutes from downtown. My son and I did it several times when we stayed at the Clipper Shop Inn. If you decide that you don't want to walk, a cab ride is only a few dollars.
