I can understand why this property lost their Marriott franchise, as I expect they did not meet their latest standards and expectations for renovations and updates to keep the brand image. The decor is dated, starting to show more than a little wear and some dingyness in places, but generally clean. Overall, it was a satisfactory visit with the staff...

Stayed here for the location only. Parking is charged except weekends when it's free anyway. Room is clean and very large, with lots of open space. Sadly it is very dated. Beds were not comfortable at all. Pillow case was dirty and they replaced the case quickly. Couldn't believe a hotel on a thriving college campus would look so run...

Usually when I'm in Tucson, I stay at one of the competitive locations near, well practically, on the campus. Although I've considered this hotel several times when it was the Marriott, the pricing seemed - well, absurd in comparison to nearby locations. Granted you're paying to stay on the campus - but so is their primary competitor who's prices were...

This hotel was average. It suits your needs if you are in town for a short bit. The rooms are clean and the hotel a bit outdated, but it's in the heart of the University so there are restaurants, bars, shopping, and easy access to campus. Also Tucson has a great trolley system that allows you to ride to downtown...

My three good friends and I were looking forward to an exciting girl's weekend at the fabulous Tucson Festival of Books, "TFOB," held at the University of Arizona every March. Four months in advance of the event I, "Ms. Proactive," designated myself in charge of accommodations. We decided that the nearby Tucson University Park Hotel would be the perfect choice....

I apologize that your stay and booking the reservation was so difficult so I have refunded half your room rate. You will see that credit within 3 business days on your credit card statement. Going through a transition is difficult for guests and our staff. I appreciate you letting us know of your difficulties so that we may correct those...

This was a nice hotel. I really appreciate the open atrium style facility. Some of the other reviews said the place was a bit tired, but that was not how I found it. I thought it was quite nice. Comfortable bed. Clean. No issues.

Was here only for one night and would've stayed longer if schedule allowed. Nice bar, good room service. On University grounds. Good place to stay for families of students. Friendly staff. Lively area of town.

Had a week at a Marriott Category 5 property to schedule before end of 2016 so last Spring booked Tucson Marriott University Park using points to upgrade to its Cat 7 status. Had never been to Tucson and thought it would be fun for an entire week. Tucson was great and we hope to return--but not to this property. What...

My husband is a lifetime Marriott gold member (and has been a platinum on some years before we recently retired) and when we travel the world we usually stay at Marriott properties.
