I rate this property very highly. It's adobe buildings greet you with an exclusive boutique look. The location is easily accessible, yet quiet. The rooms are beautifully appointed with lots of homely extras. It's unique and very spacious. There are safes, writing desks, large TVs, luxurious bedding (very firm beds) and large bathrooms with showers built for two. The walls... More

We enjoyed our stay at The Lodge very much. It has a nice location (we wanted to be close to the U of A, but not on site). The reviews are right in that the best views of the mountains are from the parking lot. But our room was huge, the bathroom was huge as well. Very comfortable! A nice... More

Lodge on the Desert is a very nice downtown hotel. When it was built some 80 years ago, it would have been on the fringes of town, and a bit isolated. It is not, as some reviewers claim, surrounded by strip malls, but residential neighborhoods, banks, and a couple of drugstores. And although you can see the mountains from rooms... More

I booked a room here on a discount site which listed it for 3.5 stars. When I discovered the hotel had "only" three stars, I was worried-- but I shouldn't have been. The room was huge and well-appointed (though a few more paintings couldn't hurt), the bathroom was simply enormous, the bed extremely comfortable, there were even bathrobes (!), the... More

We want to change chain owned hotels and we found the lodge. It was very nice, my little one enjoy the pool, and I the hot tube. Rooms are spacious and bed confortable. There is a McDonalds right down the street for cofee in the mornings.

Unfortunately we only stayed one night at this hotel, but we enjoyed it and would definitely consider returning. Our room was spacious, clean, well appointed and quiet. The hotel decor and grounds are appealing, especially the area around the pool and restaurant. We ate dinner and breakfast at the restaurant, the food and service were both excellent.

We will be coming back here! The facility is immaculate the grounds are beautiful and the setting is tranquil. Rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and well priced. I recommend their version of eggs Benedict Yumm! Didn't have dinner. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Great location. The only drawback was the AC unit... More

Beautiful lobby, pool and room. A definite southwest feel with certain sophistication. Relaxing and quiet. Very friendly, helpful service. Great online price! Appeared relatively close to attractions. Would definitely return.

We would stay here again and feel that our experience at Lodge on the Desert was one of the many reasons we fell in love with Tucson. With views of the Catalina Mountains and really friendly staff our stay was more than comfortable. Fun bar and great restaurant. Wander through gorgeous gardens and enjoy pool landscape. Cannot fault this accommodation.

My husband and I had a two-room suite with a balcony we enjoyed almost every night--the views of the mountains to the north were spectacular. All the staff were warm, very helpful. Great restaurant & bar; they even box "to go" dinners for you & let you take your drinks back to the room (state of OR doesn't allow, so... More
