We only stayed here one night because we usually like looking to end but this one is far below standards. The carpet in our room smelled bad like old carpet fresh powder. The hot tub water was not very clear and hardly warm. The pool didn't look very clean sunscreen floating on the surface. Coffee was okay, but breakfast was a to-go sack with a banana and a muffin. This is the worst la quinta inn we've ever stayed at.

Thank you for writing about your stay with us. I am sorry to see of all the issues you had during your stay with us. I apologize that the carpet n your room smelled like that. We do what we can to maintain the carpet in the rooms of our 44 year old property and we recognize that the carpet in some rooms in our pet friendly hotel might not be clean enough for some guests. Did you request to change to another room, by any chance? I would not want to be in a room that had an odor that had an unpleasant odor in it and we would be happy to move a guest to another room if they were available. I apologize that you had issues with the hot tub and pool. We are happy to have them open to guests at a limited amount of people and we try to keep them clean. We do have the spa set to a constant certain temperature with the jets going at all time as we do not have any lifeguards for the area. We also work to keep our pool clean, so I am sorry to read that their was sunscreen floating on the surface when you were using it. I will have maintenance check out both these issues. I did not find any notes of any guest informing us of these issues, and I can not see how long ago you stayed with us, but thank you for bringing it to our attention now so we can handle it for future guests. I am sorry that the Grab N Go breakfast we offer with a muffin, breakfast bar, fruit, and bottle of water (along with coffee and juice in the lobby) was not to your liking. We have been trying to find a way to make a decent Grab N Go breakfast for our guests as Covid is not allowing us to provide our usual breakfast. We also have made a deal with the Denny's next to u to give our guests a 15% discount on their food, but again, it seems like so many guests are not happy with these replacements. We do hope to get back to our previous breakfast buffet as soon as possible. I am sorry that we rank as the worst La Quinta you have ever stayed in and I thank you for bringing the issues you had to our attention so we can work on them.

I frequently stay at La Quinta hotels. I appreciate their reasonable rates, comfortable clean rooms, and dog friendly policies. Most have been either faiy new properties or undergone extensive renovations to bring the brand up to a consistent standard. I've had positive experiences at almost all of them. I booked this La Quinta because I was taking a class that was 4 minutes down the road. Sadly, this property does not represent the La Quinta brand well at all. The first surprise for me was that all the hotel rooms open to the exterior; there are no interior corrider rooms. That was just the start. This is an old property and it definitely shows its age. The banisters and trim are in desperate need of painting; bare wood shows on almost all of them. Then, there's the issue with the rooms. My most important criteria, cleanliness, was sadly lacking. I was assigned Room 270. Here are the issues I experienced. The carpet and the bedspread had noticeable stains. The bathroom vent was covered in dust. But, sadly, that wasn't all. The remote to the TV would turn on the TV but nothing else. The front desk asked us to unplug the TV and replug it to see if that would allow the TV remote to work. To do that, we moved the dresser out about an inch and were pretty horrified to find trash just lying on the floor behind the dresser. But, worst of all, when we turned back the bedspread, the sheets did not appear clean. In fact, they appeared to have dried blood on them, totally grossing us out. On a positive note, the gentleman working the front desk was very friendly and, of course, immediately moved us to another room. Similarly, I emailed the manager and assistant manager and promptly received an email taking responsibility and apologizing. I greatly appreciate that. Still, until this hotel undergoes extensive maintenance and renovations and gets better, more conscientious cleaning staff, I would avoid it.

Dear Mr. Miller: Thank you for your review. We are hoping that the company recognizes that our 44 year old property is in need of renovations as we keep getting bad reviews making mention on how our exterior needs a major facelift and how it is affecting a guest's stay with us as it clearly did you. Again, I apologize that you were checked into a room we had not cleared yet and accept full responsibility for that error. I do wonder if you had the same issues with the checked room, though. We are having our engineers go through each room to check that all the televisions are working properly and making sure housekeeping checks behind furniture when they clean. We are also bumping up our efforts on checking rooms for arrivals. Thank you again for bringing these matters to our attention.

No security... vehicles broken into (happens about every other week).... No help from front desk, they denied that any problems exist. Police even suggested to leave . Drug deals in parking lot. Denny's next door said ongoing issues from this La Quinta.

Hello Kevin P: Thank you for your feedback, while we know when something negative happens to your vehicle it is never a good feeling. However, I did want to address that we do have security on property, and our front desk did apologize to you, and assisted in calling the police. I've also spoken with the GM of Denny's and he assured me that this was never said from any of his team members or management. Lastly, vehicles broken into is a rare issue, and just like any city in any time or place, these unfortunate issue can happen which is why we are required to carry insurance on our vehicles. Nether the less please accept our sincerest apologies and know we take any issue's with the outmost seriousness. After reporting the issue we even contacted our security company to have them increase patrols and additional supervisory visit. Please know we are here for you, and we are sincerely sorry. If you need an inexpensive hotel, near TMC hospital, this hotel is adequate. The bed was comfortable, the TV was functional, and it was quiet. I would not recommend a multi-night stay and bring your own bottled water to drink.
