My husband, 9 year old daughter, and I stayed here for 4 nights in late March, early June. We stayed at the JW Marriott in Phoenix the previous summer and had a great time, so thought we'd visit the JW in Tucson this spring. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. Positive comments: Beautiful, secluded location in the foothills of Tucson.... More

Wonderful vacation! I traveled solo to Tucson for 4 days of relaxation. The JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort has nailed two key selling points: natural beauty and great service. My room on the 5th floor had a gorgeous view of the city, pools, and patio below. Mornings were breathtaking watching the sun rise over the mountains from my room. Service... More

Our stay over Easter weekend was great. Our double room overlooked the pool. The room was nicely appointed, and everything seemed very clean. We never heard our neighbors, or the room above us. The pool area was very nice, and were able to find 4 chairs together on a busy weekend without too much fuss. The hotel surroundings are gorgeous,... More

This is a gorgeous desert property. Breakfast in the Signature restaurant was really good. The buffet could have been better. There is a large patio with fire pits and heaters. Wed through Sun, there is live music. This is a lovely place for socializing. You can order food and drinks. The view of the city lights are really pretty. The... More

I recently stayed at this resort with my family and my in-laws. We really enjoyed the lazy river with the kids and even in March Tucson is great for this. We had a standard room and it was spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and the hotel is very well kept with beautiful desert views. The night we were... More

This was my first trip to Tucson. I had researched many options but this property seem to have it all. Well, let me tell you it was all I expected and more. My 6 yr old daughter and I enjoyed our stay. It started with the excellent service option of the "Vacation Planner"....use them...it's a must. Carissa is an outstanding... More

My wife and I have stayed at the Star Pass location about 6 times. each previous time we were very happy with the overall experience. however this time the service was well below par. the hotel seems to be greatly understaffed and employees are overwhelmed negatively impacting the overall experience. 1) POOL at the pool we had to wait almost... Stayed here as part of business conference but could not say more positive things. First internet was free for me. Second I was upgraded upon arrival. The room I had was on main level but had a patio and great view of absolutely beautiful area (pool). The landscape was absolutely breathtaking. It was only 25 minutes from airport which makes... Only a few items kept me from giving this property a 5 star review - let's get those out of the way first: 1 - SPIDER: our last night at the resort, we were welcome with a HUGE spider. Not quite a tarantula, but large enough that neither of us were about to tackle it. I do realize we are... More

We stayed at this property for 5 nites recently on a much needed vacation. I am a Lifetime Platinum member and stay in Marriott properties at least 80- 100 nights/year.
