I was super nervous as I had only ever stayed in hostels outside of the US, but I clearly worried for nothing. I had an amazing experience here, as a solo female traveler who was driving across the country. I got in late-ish, but there were still plenty of people hanging around. I had a wonderful time talking with some...

I stayed alone at this hostel for three weeks in an only female room with six beds. I was weary of sharing a space for so many days with people but it turned out ok. Of course, you do not have a lot of privacy but I always felt safe and comfortable. The staff was super nice and friendly. Sometimes...

I stayed in one of the hostel's private rooms with my boyfriend and 3-year old daughter for nearly 2 weeks. We were all delighted with the place. It felt like home (in fact, it's a very artfully decorated house). We were able to cook dinner in the clean, spacious, well-organized kitchen while our daughter watched cartoons in the living room....

Friendy, knowledgable staff; management that made an extra effort to accomodate. Near downtown: cold nights, warm sunny days (late January.) Free waffles and good coffee in the morning.I keep coming back and can't imagine staying anywhere else when in Tucson. "There's no place like this place anywhere near this place, so this must be the place."

I stayed in a private room this time; found it clean, comfortable and quiet. Best managed hostel of any I've stayed in. Near downtown. Good local transportation. Tuscon is a friendy place to visit. Many thanks to Jimmy and all the staff.

As far as hostels go, this one is pretty decent. The kitchen is nice and clean and there are laundry machines (I can't figure out why there's a dryer and not a line outside! C'mon Tucson, let's get eco-friendly). Bathrooms are clean. There needs to be a 2 shelf table or something put in the women's dorm instead of what's...

What an awesome hostel. So much character! Convenient location in the heart of downtown Tucson, close to everything - food, entertainment, bus routes, etc. Very clean and well maintained! The dorms were adorable, and I talked to a couple that had a private room that they just loved as well. The showers and bathroom facility were spacious and nice. The...

I was there mid-summer, obviously a slow season there, so it was kind of empty, but it's a nice place to spend a few days and convenient to downtown and the UA neighborhood, either on foot or by transit. It's a hostel, so the review is relative to hostels, not to hotels whose sheets know their thread counts. The hostel,...

If you are a single female traveling to Tucson, Arizona, I do NOT recommend the Roadrunner Hostel. I planned to stay at the Roadrunner Hostel for 4 nights, but cut my stay to 3 nights after another person - who attended the same conference as I - checked out of the hostel to fly back to NYC. The comments left...

This is a great place to say the least. Long story short I was having a bad experience at a place I was volunteering at and needed to relocate but had nowhere to stay in between times. I did a quick search of cheap stays and hostels. Found this one, and this was my first time at a hostel. I...
