It is amazing how taking a step back in time can calm you and help you refocus. Looking forward to the time when we return. Kick back and enjoy a night yourself. Say at the lodge part of the Hotel and eat the amazing breakfast they serve with pastries, Greek yogurt and fresh fruit. Great place!

We stayed in room 418, which I later found out, through YouTube, is the most haunted room in the hotel. Nancy, the reservationist at the front desk, knew it was my daughter's birthday and had chocolate covered strawberries waiting in the room for us. At around midnight, one-ish, the hotel started being noisy, but within the building, not the alls....

Grew up in Loveland/Fort Collins area and my parents would stop on occasion at The Stanley Hotel named after F.O. Stanley (Stanley steamer inventor) before we headed over Trail Ridge Pass onto Grand Lake to visit relatives. We would walk the grounds and take in the beautiful views of Estes Park has to offer. This time I was visiting my...

My kids and I had a trip planned to Colorado, so made a point to stay one night at the Stanley. We watched the Shining The day before our stay and booked a ghost tour. The ghost tour was slightly cheesy but the hotel had booked us in room 215 which is right next to the famous room 217. All...

Great place with lots of history and intrigue. It was great just to walk around the main building and look at the pictures. The story of F.O. Stanley was fascinating. Having a real "Stanley Steamer" in the lobby made it extra special.

An old property like this has so much history, character and charm. The Stanley Hotel, and The Lodge next door offer choices for everyone wanting to experience what Stephen King saw here when writing The Shining. There is a lot of history and paranormal stories to keep everyone entertained. The main hotel has an upscale restaurant, ballrooms, and a nicely...

The hotel is very nice. The rooms are very clean and great views are available. It's an older hotel but has a very nice charm about it. The food in Cascades was pretty good, excellent breakfast. Outstanding service. I can't say the same for our last visit to the Whiskey Bar. The bartender on duty Wednesday night, the 27th of...

We stayed in the lodge in 2015 and wanted the experience of staying in the main hotel. I wouldn't stay in the main hotel again. The not so good: Multiple issues with the door lock Multiple issues with keys not working Much noisier with people constantly in the halls The good: The hotel is beautiful The staff is welcoming Attended...

The Stanley Hotel is a rich and lovely place for history buffs. I've been coming here since I was a kiddo but stayed for the first time a few weeks ago. The staff was amazing. The night ghost tour was absolutely worth it. Our room was cozy (2nd floor). I love the fact that the hotel boasts so many historical...

The old Stanley Hotel is a good hotel, full of history, with a great atmosphere. We stayed there for 2 nights. The staff was very helpful, smiling and welcoming. We had a superior king room on the upper floor which was big and comfy. The bed and pillows were very comfy too. The air conditioning was not functioning, so we...
