We booked Spruce Lake sight unseen for a weeks stay during May and was not disappointed. The location is close to town and the RMNP and adjacent to a river. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful providing great advise and assistance when required. The facilities are clean and well maintained which is a task considering the environment during winter.

I reluctantly give this campground 2 stars because the location is fantastic and the bathrooms were clean. If not for those items I would have given them negative stars. This campground is not a family friendly place. I was very disappointed to discover that the camp spot that I reserved over the phone was moved. We were camping with a... More

We have been coming to Estes park off and on since 2001. We have stayed at spruce lake all but one time. Just to try something different. And we were sorry we did. We were at spruce lake last week. Management was very friendly and helpful. Park was clean. Laundry and bath area was very clean. Sites are spacious and... More

Beautiful, clean RV park. Friendly staff. Close to lots of shopping and the RMNP entrance. A river is right beside the RV park adding to the ambiance and enjoyment. Enjoyed seeing elk and deer frequenting the area. We stayed 11 nights in a 5th wheel. We would definitely stay here again.

This was our first trip with camper. Very clean park. Went trout fishing on river that runs through park and also in stocked pond. Had 2 trout for dinner. Staff extremely helpful. Highly recommend. Just outside Rocky Mountain national park.

Great location, wide spaces, level sites and friendly staff. Several caveats: No refunds or credits, for any reason. Anyone visiting your site without using anything at the park is charged $5 per person per day plus $5 for their car. We wanted to have our son and family for lunch in our motor home, not even using the picnic table.... More

I have taken my family to this park 2 years in a row because we love the setting on the river, view of mountains, and close proximity to downtown Estes and rmnp. The guys who work the park were great to build my kids a bonfire every night and kept checking to see if we need anything. They felt like... More

I am sorry to say that I was very disappointed in the management at Spruce Lake RV Park. My husband checked us in for a 9 day stay and I did not realized that my Good Sam's discount had not been applied until 2 days before we were scheduled to leave. The desk had claimed that we were not verified... More

We were visiting Rocky Mountain National Park and needed a campground nearby. This place was just the ticket. We were just a five minute drive to the park entrance. The lot sizes were pretty close together however we were on the outside right along a nice river which sounded very peaceful during the evenings. The RV park also had lots... More

This park is convenient to Rocky Mountain National Park and has some outstanding views. Sites are gravel but level. Pull-thru and full hook-ups available. We were right across from a large trash dumpster which was overflowing. If the breeze was from a certain direction, we got a faint smell of the trash. Not over powering but not something you would...
