Lots of Potential, just not there yet. Pluses: Out of town, Quiet, Great Views, Clean, Cabins suggested over rooms in the Lodge, Organic/Natural toiletries. Cons: NO CELL SERVICE, only Wifi in main lodge. It's a bit weathered to the eye, beds quite soft, the vibe isn't quite there yet and the food options are 'trying' at best. The Spa/Massage amenities...

Mt daughter and son in law got married last weekend in Estes Park and held their reception at the Dao House. The staff there is unbelievable. They catered to our very need and want. They have to be some of the best in Estes Park or any where. The only draw back was that the breakfast was somewhat lacking but...

We chose this facility on short notice two nights before a mid -August weekend when most other properties were fully booked. The place has great potential but needs a lot of work. There are pluses and minuses. There are at least two different styles of accommodation. We were assigned a "suite" in one of the many cabins that are mostly...

My girlfriend and I recently needed a place to stay for a night after we spent a little too long on Trail Ridge Road (!). We just stayed 3 nights in a rental house near Estes, so we thought a last minute hotel may feel like a step down, but we were so happy with Dao House! We thought it...

When we first approached the Dao House (sign at the road said Aspen Lodge), we saw a bunch of cabins that looked a little iffy. Thankfully, the main building looked much better! Our room was nice and clean, and we had a view of the back of the property - parking lot, woods. The rooms on the front of the...

Travelers Beware! This place is horrible and not worth $49 a night, let alone the $250 plus tax we were charged. We were scheduled to stay three days and left after the first. There was pubic hair all over the bathroom floor, and we weren't certain the sheets had been washed as they were wrinkled and smelled funny. Coupled with...

It is a little run down but the rooms and cabins are lovely - they are basic but they have all they need and the setting cannot be beat. Every person we encountered was pleasant and helpful and seemed truly to want to make your stay great. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was great - good, homecooked...

My husband and I stayed at Dao House the nights before and after hiking Longs Peak. We were up graded as soon as we checked it. The views of Rocky Mountain National Park are amazing. The staff is very friendly and caring. Our room was great! The grounds are well kept and the lodge is very nice. Exactly what we...

We booked two nights but left after the first night it was so uncomfortable. The cabins are really old and have a very unpleasant smell to them. There is nothing relaxing about this place other than view. There is no cell service or wifi here so beware if you can't be out of touch. It would have been great to...

I was invited to have dinner with friends who live in Estes Park. None of us had eaten at the restaurant but we had heard that they served organic healthy food. When we arrived I noticed that the main lodge looked very shabby and run-down. The exterior could really use a fresh coat of paint. When we entered the lodge...
