Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We couldnt go because of the fires nearby. Hwy to get there was closed. Air quality was bad and smoky. They were running on generators in crescent city when we called to explain why we couldn't get down there. . The state parks and the hiking in the area were all closed. And yet…This campground would not refund out reservation or even let us transfer it to another time. What were we supposed to do? Sit in a smoke filled city in a camper with off and on electricity, no hiking available and most of the city shut down? Common sense and common descency does not run through this company. Corporate makes their decisions. Corporate office doesnt even respond to emails sent. If you book here you better hope nothing out of your control keeps you from going. Or you may be out 600-800 dollars

Wow! Just! Wow! You will not find a better run resort on the West Coast! The setting is one of the most stunningly beautiful RV parks you'll ever come across. It's sparkling clean and run like a well-oiled machine. Do not miss the enchanting Trail along the Stream through Ferns and redwoods. Ramblin Redwoods is now our all-time favorite West Coast destination.

I am not one to write long worded reviews. Here are the facts: Cabin #1 * Great staff, friendly and recommended good eating establishments. * Nice Setting * There is no usable WiFi in cabin * There are two TVs yet, no TV services (DVDs at the office) * View out the back windows is very nice, don't look out the left windows, you will see unsightly, RVs.. * Heater went out the first night * Pillows smelled of damp musky * The master bedroom, the bed squeaked BADLY just sitting on it. Two people will not sleep well. * The stairs a too steep * The loft is only approx 4 feet high, I had to crawl to the bed, and bed was bad. * Only one couch to relax on in the family room - oh, not a couch a futon very deep and not relaxing. * Could not use fireplace first night, maint man showed us the switch hidden behind the TV when fixing the heater. * We ended up leaving a day early to go home and get some sleep.

Be aware that the loft bedroom is a crawlspace. No one over 3.5 feet can stand up. I suggested to the staff to make this clear in the written information on the website as relying on the picture is not sufficient. A loft does not automatically mean no standing room, the dimensions need to be stated so people can make an informed choice. Small living room for 2 couples but the facilities, service, and location were otherwise fine for our purposes.

Definitely would recommend ! This was our first visit here and we loved it. Each site is quite secluded and has a large grassy private area. Nestled in a beautiful redwood forest. Grounds and facilities well maintained. Staff friendly.

gone downhill lately. the last two times we stayed here, the place was overrun with loud, ill-behaved children, and parents who were too busy drinking to care or corral them. if you're looking for a place to ignore your children for the weekend, this is it. the last weekend there was a child with a whistle who blew into it nonstop for the entire weekend (including when we were trying to sleep), and was still blowing into it as we left. I don't know how or why the camp hosts didn't say anything to them, or how the camp hosts thought no one else in the park was annoyed by a high pitched sound for hours on end. this park is WAY too expensive to not be able to spend the weekend relaxing and enjoying the beautiful scenery. unfortunately, relaxing was impossible in this park. I think I'd rather stay at literally any other park in the area instead of this one. I'm so disappointed. this was the best park in the area, but it's attracting such terrible disrespectful families, that this park is just not worth the money any more.

Wow, super disappointed in this RV Park. We used to love it there in 2010 and since that time there has been expansion of spaces but the washroom facilities are very poor (run down & dirty), cable is not working and hard to get signal from where wifi is positioned. So much dirt in the area. Could be a beautiful place if management and owners put in some effort.

The campground is beautiful! The staff works really hard keeping it clean and nice looking. We saw them cleaning facilities, watering roads to keep the dust down, picking up random trash left on the playground, and hauling brush and debris. The office staff is extremely helpful with great attitudes. You can tell they really care about their guest's experience. The bathrooms and laundry room were shut down during one night of our stay, but that was okay. Some things you just can't help. I would recommend this campground to all my friends and family. We will definitely be back!
